Then, please clean the surface by scrubbing with a detergent and water solution. After rinsing with water and allowing the surface to dry, please prime with a product like our No. 75 All-In-One primer on the same day as the cleaning. Finally, you'd be ready to paint. Please note that if the duct work gives off extremes of heat or cold, then this could reduce the lifespan of our coating. Best wishes for your project!

Answer:
Hi A2,
Thanks for your question! Our Premium Plus Ultra Interior Matte paint has primer in it already, so there's no need to apply a separate primer to your wooden ceiling. Your first coat will act as your primer coat, and any additional coats after that (1-2) will build up color and a uniform finish. Best wishes for your project! - Sara

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We are painting our new home inside and out and have found Behr to have the better colors over other brands. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Paint! We just bought a new home with some not so attractive paint color in the rooms. We used Behr ultra paint and the colors are so beautiful and they covered the old paint so well! September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paint. The great neutralizer! This paint and primer in one is amazing. We actually had a wall in two different rooms that had been accent walls. After eight years I was ready to change up the look. We painted over the dark accent color and it covered the wall and the old color in two good coats of the lighter paint. August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Paint While this paint did turn out good, it took 4 coats. I had roller marks with this the flat, unusual for a flat from my experience. It did work out but took extra effort and paint to do it. I did not have the same issue with Behr's satin paint. This is nice paint when done, just not worth the effort. For a flat- try something else if the area has good lighting. April 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best paint Great coverage! We use it on for closure houses and the stuff we have to cover in one coat comes out nice! October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I used this paint to cover darker colors with much a much lighter color and did it easily in one coat. October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good paint Paints are hard to review because you'll only know how good it is as it wears through the years. So I do not know if it is 5 star. You will have to do two coats depending on the color of your surface. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good quality paint. However, I've found in some situations it requires more than one coat if you are painting over another color that doesn't closely match the new color. Also recommend stirring approximately every 30 minutes as it seems the nano-particles within the paint settle to the bottom and you can see visible differences in the paint sheen once it dries. It's an awesome value if you can buy it when Home Depot is running their $10/gallon rebate offer. October 25, 2016
