Hello and thank you for your question. We recommend a paint specific for basements, BEHR PREMIUM® Basement & Masonry Waterproofer No. 875. It is ideal for above or below grade basement & interior/exterior masonry walls. Be sure to follow all back label instructions and best of luck on your project!

Will it stick to metal corrugated roofing that has an oil based paint on it?

Will it stick to metal corrugated roofing that has an oil based paint on it?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, Thank you for your interest in our products. Our paint can go on metal. However, we would not recommend it to be used on a roof. We would recommend our Multi-Surface Roof Paint. Before applying our roof paint, we recommend priming the oil based paint with a water base primer. Best regards, Kevin

1-gal. #S430-1 Melting Moment Flat Exterior Paint is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 130.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Favorite This is our default choice for all of our exterior painting. Our color is Forest Green for trim, shutters, and such. We are now about halfway complete with a privacy fence across the back and we give everything a good scrub with dish detergent, then rinse and dry to insure that the mill glaze is washed away and the boards and pickets are ready to soak in the protection and beauty of the paint. We apply two coats of Behr before we even start putting the pieces together. We know before we start that the end result will be rich, beautiful color that will last for decades. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behr paint is the ONLY paint I will buy I've used other well known brand name paints in the past, but with less than satisfactory results. Behr Ultra paint has held up so well on the exterior of my house. It's the only paint I ever buy anymore. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Paint I used this product to paint my house exterior. Easy to apply (I used a roller), goes on smooth, covers well and looks great. Forms a waterproof barrier. Could not be happier with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not self level well Pros: Overall good encapsulation with 2 full coats. Cons: 1. Does not self level well, thick formula, thicker than other "quality paints". If you don't feather brush out immediately all surfaces, it sets too fast and shows all brush marks. I am a professional painter; I minimize direct sunlight for this reason. This was the biggest disappointment in the performance of this product. 2. Formula is very thick compared to other high quality paints, Behr said up to 8 oz of water can be added per gallon, I had to add 3 oz, to thin the paint down. 3. Constant stirring is recommended with this formula, for some, this can be a real nuisance. 4. Brushes get very "gummy" and need to be washed out using this product after about 4 hrs. Product gets very thick at bottom of 5 gallon bucket needs to add water to save product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exterior re-paint with Ultra flat We are using Behr Ultra Premium Flat on the complete exterior of our very old house. The siding has been mostly stripped down to bare wood as it had several coats of paint that had blistered. We are very impressed with the coverage that this paint has provided having to only use 2 coats to achieve a high quality finish. Glad we went with the flat as there are many imperfections on the old wood siding and the flat helps hide imperfections. I would recommend this paint to anyone that has an older character home and wants to keep that heritage quality look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Results I am pleased with Behr's interior paints. I used Behr paint for the entire interior of my house with no issues. So when it came time to paint the exterior, I was happy to see that Behr had a product that was "Paint & Primer in One". Within 3 years, however, this paint (PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® Exterior Flat) started peeling in numerous places all around the exterior of my house (again, the interior paints are holding up well). It is peeling in places that were prevously painted, but it is also peeling in places that have never been painted (we replaced the windows and doors, so there were door casings and some stucco patch that had no paint on them). I would not recommend this product. Perhaps Behr reformulated this product since I used it; it's been about 4 years since we painted, and I believe this was a new product at that time.
