Used this paint to cover a previously painted wall and the color coverage was horrible. The original color was a lighter green and the top cover was a cream white. After one coat the green was easily showing through the top coat and the room needed a second coat.
I could see if there was a dramatic change in color like a deep red to white, but the original color was a soft color and this wouldn't cover in one coat. This was the worst coverage of any paint I've used in the past 30 years.
When I went back to the store, they said this paint doesn't claim to cover in one coat; it says "hides in fewer coats'
Won't be using Behr paints again.

I used this paint and painted over well primed new drywall. It did not cover in one coat and needed two. I also experienced experienced that "pull up" while painting, that others have mentioned...it picks up pieces of recently applied paint and drops it onto other areas...so you have to constantly eyeball your painting to pull these "scraps" out of the wet paint. I purchased this paint + primer. Wish I had just bought regular paint. Took a complete gallon to paint a small bedroom. The finish was also not as "flat" as I wished...finish was somewhere between semi-gloss and flat. I like a flat finish that completely absorbs all light...this reflected light a bit.

We painted ourfamily room and small hallway today the hall and a few walls were a dark red(previous homeowner choice) i primed thosse walls as instructed it took 1 3/4 gallons for1 coat. it went on thin and didn't go as far as ive experienced with this paint. The other walls were white.I've painted abright green room with a light gray with 1 coat, a medium blue room with a light medium neutral in 1 coat. This paint is not the same. I've used ptemium plus ultra for years with success. I guess i need to buy a different brand from now on.

I want to start out by saying I have always bought Behr paint because it covers so well. This type of Behr paint is the medium priced paint. I thought the coverage was average. Usually one gallon was enough to do a project. This time I will have to go back to complete my project. Even since Behr went to the Marquee brand, I don't think there other brands are as good. Might be switching to another brand after this.

Just had my two smallish bathrooms painted. Bought the Behr Premium satin and semi gloss plus a tinted sealer. Loved the paint. Terrific pricing. Read Consumer Reports and was glad to see it so well reviewed. Thrilled. My painter said it was easy to,work with, too.

this paint goes on well and covers nicely. We did two coats and I would say the walls we were covering needed both coats. Clean up was easy and overall a good value.

I now only use Behr paint. Paint + primer seems to be the standard in the industry now and I would not paint any other way. I used this to paint a bathroom we have been remodeling. We had new drywall installed so I primed it with new wallboard primer, then used this product in a custom color the associate mixed for me - little known fact - at Home Depot the paint associates have a data base of competitive colors - so if you see a color chip in another brand they can match it. This paint covered in one coat. I had to do a couple little touch ups around the ceiling edge where I cut in but otherwise on coat gave me a very professional finish. There was an area that was not new drywall that had been painted a dark green previously where I put two coats so if you are trying to cover a dark or deep color you may need two.
