Mixing paint

I am using Behr premium INTERIOR paint on my bathroom ceiling and fear running out of paint before my project is finished. Can I add Behr EXTERIOR paint to the remaining paint to be sure I can finish the job?
Asked by: Terry
Hi Terry, thank you for your question. We do not suggest mixing as it may alter the color, sheen, and overall effectiveness of the paint. We recommend that you purchase additional paint with the same sheen and color to ensure a uniform job. Hope this helps and good luck with your project!

can I use this paint for wood that I will grow food in?

I have untreated pallets that I would like to paint and plant strawberries in. Is it safe to use this paint?
Asked by: Anonymous
Dear Kjosie23 At Behr, our primary concern is your safety. Unfortunately, we do not have any test data for BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® for the specific application you have described. You may want to contact The Home Depot nursery center or other local nursery center for information on products specifically designed for contact with soil when growing plants for human consumption. We wish you the best with your project.

would this good for ceder siding

Asked by: Anonymous
Paul, Please ignore the prior answer, it was for the wrong product. The correct answer is as follows: BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® will perform well on cedar siding, as long as label instructions are followed for proper surface preparation. Cedar is a 'bleeding' wood and susceptible to tannins that could seep through the paint surface if not blocked. Preparation instructions are to use BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA paint as a primer for repaired or uncoated surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (two primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas. Lock in stains (tannins) with the first primer coat; and as necessary, apply a second primer coat of BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA. Hope that helps and good luck with your project. Thank you.

5-gal. Medium Base Flat Low Voc Exterior Paint is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 96.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product. I have used Speed-Cote paint for 20 years on my house. However, half way through painting the fascia trim on one side of my house I decided to try this paint. This side of the house faces due west and gets the brunt of the Las Vegas sun. What a difference! While Home Depot did a superb job in matching colors, once the paint dried the difference was apparent. The Behr paint had a richer, denser quality and even though it was a flat matte, it had a very slight sheen to it which looked great!! For now on it's Behr Premium Plus Ultra for me.

I normally don't review products and I mention it to add further weight to how happy I am with this purchase. The paint fully covered texturized drywall in one coat and I added a second just to be safe. I was also able to spot touchup in the room with no issues. I received excellent customer service from the paint department in the Wausau, WI store location and HD's paint matching was dead on as the touch up work blended in perfectly. The staff was very helpful in making sure I got the right paint for the job with the right finish along with the right tools. Very happy with this experience from start to finish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommended instead of deck paint I was looking for a deck paint comparable to Lowes' Olympic solid stain. The Home Depot computer said that this was better to use. I liked to lifetime guarantee, and I was using on screen house made of treated wood. It went on well. Because the wood grain was still showing on the first coat, I applied a second coat. It seemed to be working well, time will tell.

I remember painting a rough wood barn and it covered in one coat. I also like the fact that Home Depot can duplicate a color that was from 10 years ago, even though it was no longer on the color swatches at the store sample rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for outdoor decks! This is a thick, ever-so-slightly gritty paint that we have used on our back door stoop and front porch. It was recommended by one of the paint associates at our local store over the more gritty version because it is easier to clean. So far it has been great!

It first coat oozes an oily substance that makes ugly streaks on the side of my house. I painted a second coat, and the oozing continues. Behr sent me free replacement paint, but has no idea why the paint oozes, and doesn't seem all that interested anyway.
