Customer Questions & Answers

is this paint suitable for painting a pool deck

Also, is it mildew, dirt, and mold resistant/
Asked by: Wayne
Hello Wayne, Thanks for your question. Right--this paint is not suitable for a pool deck or any horizontal surfaces. Instead, I can recommend our Porch & Patio Floor Paint. Its finish is mildew/mold resistant, and though it's not made to be especially dirt resistant, this product can be easily cleaned with soap and water. For best results, please follow all label instructions. Best wishes for your project!

Can this product be thinned to spray with conventional sprayer (compressed air)

Asked by: Al
Hello AI, Thanks for your question. Yes, if the sprayer manufacturer calls for thinning, this paint can be thinned with up to 8 oz. of water (only water) per gallon. We recommend a sprayer tip size of 0.015-0.021" and a 60 mesh filter. Please be sure to follow all label instructions for best results. Well wishes for your project!

I have few extra buckets of this paint. Can I use it for interior?

Asked by: Harryng
Hi Harryng, Thanks for your question! We do not recommend using exterior paint for your interior walls. The performance attributes for exterior paint is different than interior paint. For instance, exterior paints are not scrub resistant and will not be as durable for heavy traffic, marring, burnishing, etc.

I have a 1600 sf home and measured just under 1700 sf flat exterior wall space. Good existing wall paint condition, no chalking to speak of. Approximately what number of gallons should I expect to purchase?
Asked by: Bill
Hi Bill, Great question! Depending on the porosity of the surface, you'll need anywhere from 5 to 7 gallons of Premium Plus Ultra per coat. Assuming you'll need only two coats for full coverage (some colors may require more), I'd say you'd need about 12 gallons of paint total. Hope that makes sense. Good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.
