Thanks for posting your question regarding the difference between Eggshell & Flat Enamel sheens. Choosing a sheen is an important personal decision to make sure you achieve the vision you have for your completed project. Eggshell has a slight luster, but is less shiny than a Semi-Gloss Paint. Flat Enamel has a very low luster and does not reflect light in the same way as a higher gloss.

Choosing a sheen is an important personal decision to make sure you achieve the vision you have for your completed project. Eggshell has a slight luster, but is less shiny than a Semi-Gloss Paint. Flat Enamel has a very low luster and does not reflect light in the same way as a higher gloss. In general, the lower sheens hide surface imperfections better than higher sheens (due to less light reflection), and, conversely, higher sheens tend to be more dirt and moisture resistant. Either sheen will perform nicely so it's all about your particular surface to be painted and your personal preferences. Wishing you best of luck with your project.
