i just bought a house and the exterior os a burn orange color. I really like the color Ethiopia, do you think I will need a white primer to put over it first so it doesn't change the color of the Ethiopia. also does it pull any purples, grays or greens?

Hello kristy,
We appreciate your question. With our Ultra or Marquee paints, there's actual primer in the mix, so you can forego using a separate primer. You might need a few coats to get the best hide and a full workup of the Ethiopia (PPU5-6), though. Also, Ethiopia (PPU5-6) is a mid-brown with no obvious undertones of purple, gray, or green. I can suggest trying out an 8 oz. sample to see the color Read More

Answer:
Hi Mickeylynn1972,
I am a little unclear whether you intend to use Raffia Cream 710C-2 as a trim color and you are looking for a brown house body color or if Raffia Cream 710C-2 is your house body color and you are looking for a brown trim color.
If Raffia Cream 710C-2 is your trim color, try a light brown such as Macchiato PPU7-3, or a medium brown such as Aging Barrel PPU5-2 for the house body. If Read More

If I wanted a shade lighter than the UL160-21, but still in the brown tint, not red or yellow tones, what would I go with?

Answer:
Hi Jr,
If you like Mocha Latte UL160-21 but want something lighter, I think you will like Ethiopia UL160-20 or Pure Earth UL160-19.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Expect a True Brown As others have said, this color looks to have a hint of green in it and sometimes grey. I see those two colors more than I see any shade of brown. Don't get me wrong though, it still looks great, but if you want brown, this isn't the color for you. It does not come out like the image shows, not even close. September 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Color!!! This is an outstanding color! I love it! I put 1"x3" marks with the martha steward black metalic paint in sections on this color - paired with bark&black carpet tiles on the floor. Looks excellent! March 13, 2012
