When we moved in our walls were covered in FLAT blue painted walls,,,blue was not a color that looked right - and flat paint showed each and EVERY mark - we purchased this paint on the reviews from Consumer Reports - It costs a lot more than other paints, but if you don't want to go back and paint again in a few years, we really liked this option.
Despite what they tell you at the paint counter, you will PROBABLY need two coats, especially if covering a darker wall color.
This paint stacks right up with other independent paint store paints - I just wish that the price was a bit more along the lines of the average Home Depot Shopper,,,,we go to HD to NOT have to pay the prices of those 'independent paint stores'!
That being said, we are very happy with the coverage and the richness and depth of the colors - they look like they were professionally painted!

This exterior white primer/paint is the worst paint I've ever experienced. I've needed 3 coats to just refresh white house trim.

This white paint is average. the application was easy but I was not very pleased with the result . This may sound odd but I would not avoid it as a paint to use. I suggest the sample purchase first.

Bought a quart of this paint from the actual Home Depot store because I wasn't sure which paint to get for my front door. We were going from a dark green to a bright red so I knew more than one coat, no matter what type of paint we used, would be necessary. Explained to the paint guy what I was painting and he recommended this paint. Got home, painted first coat. Did not cover well, but I expected that. Went to clean up and check on drying time and the can says recoat in 12-14 HOURS !! It's my front door! So, it's going to take 3 or 4 days to paint the door since we will certainly need to close it at night. Wish the guy had told me that.
Checked the internet site and it says drying time 4 hours between coats, wonder which is correct? Guess I should go with the can. Sure hope this looks great when I'm done because this is turning out to be a PROJECT! Wish I had just bought the paint off the internet that was recently advertised as for doors, dries quick, can do the door in a day . . . or the guy could have told me it took 12-14 hours to dry between coats and I could have somehow figured out a better schedule for painting. UGH!

We have used Behr paint for the past few years to help us paint interior and exterior of our home. So when I started a project (painting a dresser) I went straight to Behr. I thought I was smart skipping a step by buying paint and primer in one. Boy was I wrong. I bought red. 4 coats later and i am done. Does it look great. Mmph, good enough I guess. It BARELY coats. Didn't go on well with a brush, so I switched to a small roller. It's going to have to do. I'm just very very disappointed I did not buy primer and paint separately. PLEASE just do NOT make the same mistake as I did. Maybe this works better on a wall, I'm not sure?
