Dear DeeDee,
Thank you for your question. The coverage can often depend on what condition the walls are in. If there are heavy stains that need to be covered, or if there are sections of the wall that are porous, the paint job may require more coats to cover those stains for an even appearance. As a general practice, BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® Satin Enamel Interior Paint in Crimson will do a great job of covering the white paint in two coats. If there are heavy stains, you may want to spot prime those sections first and allow to dry the recommended recoat time on the label before applying an additional coat. This will help to make sure the stain is fully covered once the job is complete.
Hope this helps and best of luck with your project! Read Less

Hi KpOhio,
It sounds as if you may have at least two painting projects- an exterior project and an interior project.
First, for the exterior project, you should not paint your exterior when the temperature is below 30 degrees. Premium Plus Ultra Paint and Primer in One has been formulated for application in lower temperatures, however you do want to make certain that the air and surface temperatures are over 35 degrees and that it is not forecasted to drop in temperature during the painting process or drying/curing time. (A sustained 35 degrees or more.)
Concerning your interior project, there are many types of wallpaper; vinyl coated, paper, fabric backed and so on. You can paint wallpaper and we recommend starting with Behr's Oil-Based Primer and topcoating with Premium Plus or Premium Plus Ultra. However, it sounds as if you may have already started to remove the paper. Painting over the top of partially removed wallpaper, patterned wallpaper, wallpaper with lifted seams or wallpaper that is in disrepair will not result in a smooth, uniform finish. In that case, you are better off removing the paper and starting with a properly prepared, smooth surface.
Please contact the wallpaper manufacturer for recommendations on how to remove the paper from your walls. Alternately, you can call The Home Depot Customer Service line at 1-800-HOME DEPOT (1-800-466-3337) for more information.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 910 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product Used Behr Marquee in my bathroom remodeling. First time to use Behr Paint. The Marquee applied very smoothly and with very little smell, if at all. Extremely fast drying time. The One Coat guaranty covers a multitude of sins as they say. Walls never looked better. Spots where drywall had been repaired are nearly invisible. Color choice is outstanding! Behr Marquee colors far surpassed those of most other well known competitors. Went with the Satin sheen which has just the right about of glossiness to it without being too shiny. I will be using Behr paints for all future projects at my house and will definitely recommend them highly to friends and family looking for paint. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Paint We just moved into our new house and it needed some updating. We chose Behr Marquee since it said it was one coat. The paint does exactly what it claims, for most rooms. For our kitchen (Red Pepper), master bedroom (Rustic Taupe), and the ceiling in the basement (Cold Steel), it worked as advertised. For the basement walls (Rush Hour), it required two coats. A little disappointed, but the price was near that of the next best paint and it holds up to its claims, for the most part, so no major complaints. One coat is a time saver! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing coverage! I was extremely pleased with the one coat coverage of this paint! I was a bit skeptical at first, as I had a bright red wall to cover---but true to the description, one coat did it! I used way less paint than I anticipated, because I only need to use one coat. It costs a bit more up front, but is well worth it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made my job easier I just painted a room with over 25 year old paint on the walls. Marquee does a great job, covered in one coat and has little odor! Why buy anything else? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best paint ever Love this paint! One coat coverage was amazing. Going from a gold color to a white. No primer needed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable product After reading reviews online, we bought this paint initially to cut down on time needed to improve a house we were selling, and now this is the only paint we will be using to make our new house a home. It really does cover in one coat! It has been very helpful when painting our large living room, and the small bathroom with a lot of tight spaces. I wouldn't recommend any other type of paint. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pricey but good It is very thick. I was afraid it wouldn't look good but once it dried it looked great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best pain ever! We discovered this paint last year and we haven't looked back. This is by far the best paint we have ever used, bar none. It really does one coat coverage. The color choices are beautiful and it saves you tons of time and stress. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 22, 2016
