I still have no idea what is different about the colors "bisquit" and "bone"

This question is from NextStep Round Closed Front Toilet Seat in Biscuit

I still have no idea what color "bone" is and how it compares to "bisquit". The descriptions of both under the product's details seemed to suggest they are both brown, tan, or beige kinds of colors. I'm trying to figure out which one of the 2 seats with best coordinate with our bathroom and I'm not sure if "BISQUIT" is better or if "BONE" is better, because they both sound so similar. I'm assuming there are 2 different colors are available because there is something different about them and I would like to know what the difference is.

Biscuit is more of a warm, brownish, white (creamy looking). Bone is just that; it's a more gray toned white (like a dried bone). We went to the store to actually see the difference.

Bone and bisquit are so close in shade that it is really hard to tell. But it is noticeable. If you can do it pick one and if it isn't right return it and get the right color. That's what I had to do.

I had the same problem. I went with the biscuit because I thought the picture of the bone looked really dark, more like a gray than a tan. I think my toilet looks like a light tan. Biscuit doesn't quite match, but I already returned the white one for biscuit and I'm not trying again. The biscuit is a light tan, but a little more yellow-ish tan than my toilet. I would describe out toilet as "off white". I originally bought biscuit, but it was too yellow/bright. I then bought the bone and it was a perfect match...cooler tone, more beige. If you have a Home Depot near you I would buy both, and return whatever one you don't need to the store. That way you pay no shipping (order is over $50) and you get a match the first try. Hi, Melissa! Bone and Biscuit are two of our most popular colors. They are in the same color family, but Bone is one shade DARKER than Biscuit. If you would look at the graduation of color shades beginning with white and moving toward dark the order would be: White, Biscuit, Bone.
Sometimes Biscuit is mistaken for white until it is set directly against a white piece of paper for comparison.
I hope this

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 166 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Potty training seat Great product, installed easily and instructions were clear. seat is very sturdy, not just made for the kiddo's, I am 6'4" tall and weigh 230 pounds, seat felt fine and comfortable. I really like the fact that the child portion snaps on and off very easily, and when it is snapped off, looks like a regular seat. February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best idea ever! I have had mine (and bought for my kids) for nine years. I have eight grand children and they all loved it. I have had company come out laughing and saying they want one. The only thing I would change about it is the hinge. Chrome doesn't last long when little boys "miss". January 24, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by kiddie seat breaks off after about 1 year The kiddie seat is just the right size for kids. The other seat we bought had a hole that was way to big for a 2 year old. The kiddie seat's hinge is really made to snap on and off, but now it does not stay on. It's annoying, but it is easily placed back on the stubs that hold it on. I would want a seat that lasts longer.... the second kid will have to deal with it constantly falling off while she is trying learn to use it. I wish the reviews were more from people who had the product longer. The quality doesn't show until the product is older. October 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Potty training seat It is much easier than those ones with handles that go on the sides September 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great idea, poor design. I bought this seat because of my twin 4 year old girls, it works great for them. But for the adult seat, it broke on the left outer ring after one week. The right side broke after two weeks. Design flaw. There are support brackets towards the front and back of the seat cover, but not in the middle where most of a persons weight will rest on causing the seat to bend down at the middle and eventually crack. Great idea, poor design. October 11, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Recommend with reservations... The seat installed with ease and closed slowly and smoothly, no matter which seat being used. It was a nice bright white, but after a few cleanings, the seat started to stain yellowish from the bleach-based cleaner I was using. I should think that in a bathroom cleaning with bleach would be expected so I'm disappointed it didn't stand up cosmetically. Now that a year has gone by, the magnet in the child seat fell out and was presumably flushed, so now it stays down when you pick up the cover. I didn't mind spending so much for a good product, but now that it's lasted about a year I'm bummed... If you clean with mild cleaners and know to be careful with the magnets (held in with a sticker...) it's great. July 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by For family use I bought this for my master bedroom. It works great for all ages. November 10, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great concept but scratched easily I bought this seat a month ago and it has been fabulous for helping my toddler potty train. That being said, I'm disappointed that there is already a scratch on the main seat that is starting to show signs of warping. The scratch was caused by my two year old simply using the overlaying potty training seat. There are tiny scratches all around where the perimeter of where the potty training seat rests, so there is a design flaw. If the whole seat was made of plastic, or if the potty training seat had edging with better weight distribution, this wouldn't be an issue. August 8, 2015
