Answer:
This is a "universal" fit cover for elongated toilets. Elongated toilets are pretty much all the same specifications. If you are really that concerned about it being an "exact" fit, you should make a cardboard template of the top of your Glacier Bay and take it to the HD store and match it up with the seats on display there. It should be fine.

Answer:
Yes. All elongated seats are the same. To make sure, remove your seat and bring it to the store for comparison. I have never run across a replacement elongated seat that did not fir the model of toilet we had (i.e., Kohler, Glacier & some other no-name models).

We love that new seat too, so here we go, I'll see if I can tell you how to do that. Start by lifting the flaps, then pull up on the hinges and seat at the same time, it may be stuck so just wiggle it abet. Hope that works for you. Marty

Answer:
If you lift the flaps that cover the "bolts", and then give the entire seating assembly a sharp upward jerk, it will unsnap. To reinstall, simply lineup the pins back in the holes and snap in back down in place. The flaps then lock it in place.

Answer:
What it says is "close front" meaning that it is closed across the front of the seat. An "open front" would mean it is horse shoe shaped.

Open front would be like in some public bathrooms where the toilet seat doesn't make a complete loop, but is more of a U shape. Closed front seats come all the way around in front and make an O shape.

Good Morning,
The easiest way to describe a closed front seat is the ring forms a complete circle. Closed front seats are almost always in residential homes. Where open fronts are mainly used in commercial use applications.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good product I brought two of these seats, they were easy to install and they look good and work just right. They are very comfortable to seat on. Best of all my wife is happy! August 9, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fast and simple This is fast and simple to install. The seat is comfortable as well. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, well-built, and quiet! This seat replaced an older Bemis seat, which had been in our home for fifteen years. The older seat was still functional, it just had some water stains underneath and, more importantly, did not have the silent mechanism to slowly lower the seat and lid. This feature is very important to us, as we have a three-year old and a five-year old, who don't always take time to slowly close them. Installation was a breeze. You just tighten two bolts and nuts in the holes for the seat cover, pop up the covers on the seat, snap them down onto the bolt heads, then snap the covers shut. When you snap the covers shut it locks the bolts in place, and I've yet to see one of them pop loose. This is the second seat of this type that we've purchased. The first seat has been in use for over a year now, with zero problems. July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 3 have failed in a little over a year We bought a new home in April of 2015 and I installed this seat in all three bathrooms. After one year, although the lid still closes slowly, on all three the seat itself slams shut. Ony my wife and I live in the house, and I work full time. Since I am the only one that lifts the seat, this seems like premature failure to me. In our previous house I had installed a competitor's model that lasted the 15 years we lived there. Choose another brand if the slow close feature is important to you. July 8, 2016
