one plastic thing about 1.5"and a tiny donut plastic..what is first piece that goes onto the bolt; directions not clear. which is the nut

Asked by: Robot
The tiny plastic donut goes over the bolts after you slide them through the seat brackets, but before you insert them in the holes in your toilet. It centers the bolts in the holes. Then the weird nuts go on from the underside

The left hinge doesn't connect to the lid, so it's loose and unattached on one side- can this be fixed?

The seat is brand new and just installed. It appears in perfect condition otherwise.

I have purchased a high-rise temporary toilet seat that can have a regular toilet seat attached to it so it can have a cover on it .

So in order to attach a regular toilet seat to the temporary high-rise seat I purchased(for after my knee surgery), the screw for your Bemis needs to be able to be removed in order to use the extra long screw that comes with the high-rise seat.Is there any way your screw can be removed from the plactic part that it sets in??I love your soft close toilet seats so I hope there's a way this can be accomplished. If not can I somehow purchase this part before the screw is added?I would need four of them because I purchased two high-rise temporary toilet seats for two separate bathrooms. Please tell me you can help!! Thank you,Sandi
Asked by: San12
Hello San12, The screw is removable. You can check out the hinge assembly in the second thumbnail below the product. Have a look at the video and let us know if we can help any further. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good seat, easy to clean I used to buy $10-15 wood composite seats. I've been through many and all of them absorb urine. I have 2 boys and after a month of use the seats had yellow and brown spots on under side that bleach did not remove. This seat is plastic and it is not stained yet. I wipe it as often as I wiped the "wooden" ones and it is still looking new after a month of use. The seat is also quite comfortable to sit on and fits my toilet perfectly. Closes quetly - both the seat part and the cover. It comes with hardware that is packed in a small bag and appears to be pretty tight and reasonably good. I plan to buy one more for another bathroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Issues, use common sense We bought this one because the other models are more than I am willing to pay for a toilet seat. It installed and works fine. I think the materials used are slightly flimsy, but as long as you don't jump onto it, it should last a long time. We have had ours for about three months now. If you are living in a rental property and don't want to invest a lot of money in a toilet seat, this is for you. If you own, you might want to upgrade and spend the larger amount on the better models.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FINALLY! I have always had the problem of the toilet seat becomming loose, having to tighten it every few months. The suretite attachment for this model is easy to install and seems to have really solved the tightness problem. The only draw back I have come to notice is the bottom part of the seat, hiden from view, is a little more involved when it comes to cleaning, not a major concern, but might be a consideration for others considering the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Seat For The Price The seat fit perfect on my one piece American Standard toilet. I only buy slow close toilet seats because when your a guy in a house full of women you always have to close the seat cover and this makes it easier. I like the never move seat hardware because it does what it says and does not move,so for under $20 this is a awesome deal :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent toilet seat The Bemis line features a slow-close feature that keeps the seat from banging when being closed. This is our third Bemis, and the other two are working fine after five years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toilet seat will not stay in the "up" position This is the worst toilet seat I have ever owned. After installing it and 2 months later, I took it off and threw it away. The toilet seat itself will not stay in the upright position. Use your imagination for how this impacts the toilet's user. Never again will I buy this brand.
