Customer Reviews

Slow Close Round Closed Front Toilet Seat in White is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice at first, but does not last! This toilet seat was great at first. Easy to install, and very sturdy. However, it broke less than a year later and no longer has the slow-close feature. I won't buy this brand again--not worth the almost $50!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Picture not accurate I was pleased to find a replacement for our old Bemis seat as we like the slow close feature. However, all of our bathroom is chrome. The Home Depot photo shows chrome fixtures -- such as were on our original. If you read the fine print on the description, the hinges are actually brushed nickel, which we did not realize until product arrival. Also, I had not read all of the reviews before purchasing. Our seat also cracked on the left side - clean through. We had ours for only a few years, and thought this was an anomaly. Clearly, this is not the case. A poor purchase on my part that is most likely going back -- and a shame, as we thought it was a quality item that we had liked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safety First! I thought I was ordering additional slow close toilet seats with the chrome detail, but did not notice that this one had a nickel finish. It met my expectations, so I kept it anyway. I replaced all of the toilet seats in the house with slow close toilet seats to safeguard the family jewels of my newly potty-trained, but now transitioning to the toilet bowl grandsons. They just barely reach the edge of the toilet bowl. How tragic if the toilet seat ever slams down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great price I had previously used this seat sold by another manufacturer (the identical product can be found labeled under multiple brands), and I knew it was great. So I bought three more from Home Depot under the Bemis brand, and it did not disappoint. Excellent brushed stainless steel hinges, solid wood construction, very clear instructions, and relatively easy installation. The hardest part by far was removing the old seats with their rusted out bolts. Wow, that was tough! But no problem once that part was over. The slow-close feature is just great - no more slamming toilet seats. My previous sample still works several years later, so I assume the three new ones I bought will keep their hinges tight for years to come. At this price, there's just no reason to buy any other product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, brushed nickel hinges Love the soft close and the hinges look nicer than the shiny chrome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Waste Your Money! We have had to replace the toilet seat 2 times because it cracked. Home Depot was gracious to replace it 2 times, but now the 3rd one has paint pealing off the underside, along with what looks like a clear coat that is fading. Very, Very disappointed in this product. I was one of the more expensive units, and I thought I was buying the very best. Apparently I was very wrong.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Last For the price, this seat should last a lot longer. The hinges have flanges on the front that are glued into slots in the back of the seat, and they came out in less than a year. There is one adult in this house, of normal size and weight. Tried to fix - experimented with various adhesives on the under side of the seat: Gorilla, E-6000, Epoxy both liquid and putty, but none of them stick to the material this is made of.
