I don't know. You better call the store where it was bought or take it in and see if they will replace. Should last a very long time.

Good Morning,
Thank you for your question. A slow close failure is normally caused by someone manually closing down the cover/seat itself, for example if this toilet seat is in a guest bath and people are unaware it is a slow-closing toilet seat. If this occurs, we suggest soaking the hinges in soapy water for about 20 minutes. This should break down the particles and allow the hinge to work properly

Answer:
There are four "bumpers" molded into the seat, so they cannot move. Each is approx. 1/2" wide and made of hard plastic. The seat feels more substantial and secure than cheaper plastic seats I have purchased. I highly recommend spending the extra money to buy this model.

Answer:
If you're asking about screws and not swcres, there are none. Just two self torquing nuts that break off when tight enough. Even then, you can still get them off and on if you need to.

I am replacing an older model easy clean and change seat with the hinge you turn to remove the seat. Will this seat fit on the existing screws or will I have to change them?

The new seat comes with new screws which are made to work with this seat -- so that they fit right and can't be inadvertently over tightened. I would see no point in using the old screws.

Answer:
good morning, not knowing how old your current seat is and the hardware you had, over time it wears from use, we recommend when changing out your new seat, you put the new hardware on it as well. The new hardware is the new sta-tite.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 63 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So easy to clean This seat was easy to install and I love the fact that the seat is one molded piece so that it's easy to clean. With other seats the bumpers are attached and you can never get them perfectly clean. The slow close action is nice and smooth and the lid completely covers the seat so it looks nice and neat. Best feature: easy removal for occasional cleaning under the part that is attached to the bowl. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best seat in the house Fits well, looks good, works as advertised. Easy to install August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect fit This seat seems to be an upgrade from the last one I had. I'm a woman and installed it myself, but you do need a wrench. Hopefully it stays tight. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful purchase Putting it together was a snap. The instructions were good. Charging was quick. Battery was a 10 min.s short of the estimate, at full blast. I am, pleased with the blower. August 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top Notch Toilet Seat Comfortable. Soft close very useful when in use in the middle of the night. Tight fit of the lid contains any odors in the toilet between cleanings (even with the use of bleach and detergent). August 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice It's sturdy and secure. Very comfortable seat. Would recommend to anyone looking for a seat upgrade. July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Oddball bolts, can't install on Kohler toilet (and probably other manufacturers) I bought this to replace a cracked seat on a Kohler one-piece toilet. The material says it "fits all manufacturer's bowls". THIS IS NOT TRUE. The mounting holes are odd-shaped, the plastic bolts have a head that matches and locks into the hole on the seat hinge so you have to use their bolts. The bolts that came with the seat are too large in diameter for the holes in the Kohler toilet. You can't use bolts from other seats (like the one being replaced) because they don't have the odd-shaped head required to secure the seat. Why would a manufacturer use odd-ball bolts and also not make provisions for using typical toilet seat bolts? April 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the extra money I thought this seat was a little pricey, but decided to spend a few extra bucks in hopes t will last longer. I generally but cheap plastic seats that move around too much. The flimsy bolts are easy to over tighten and break. Product is heavier than others and seems well made. Very easy to install, took maybe 5 minutes. The seat is easy to remove for cleaning and comfortable to sit on. Slow close is must have feature. One thing I didn't really think about but now appreciate is that the lid covers the seat when closed. It provides a much neater and hygenic look. I will purchase for second bath when needed.
