It saves my old knees when I have to work on something low to the ground. I'm using it specifically for doing bicycle repair work and the tool tray is handy for tools and small parts. I should have gotten one of these long ago. Easy to assemble, only the 5 wheels need to be bolted to the tool tray, the rest just sticks together with a friction fit. I had a problem initially with the adjustability, the plunger was fully depressed down and would not come up. With difficulty, I pulled the seat up with one foot on the tool tray and noticed the lube on the plunger was very thick and sticky. I sprayed the plunger with WD40 and by the next day the seat went up and down without a problem. The seat adjustment handle is a little sloppy in fit and you have to work it just right for it to work.

inaccurate description. the seat is not large or very well padded. this will not hold 300 lbs, i would be surprised if it holds 200 lbs, the seat is very wobbly when i sat on it and im over 200 lbs. not worth the money. do not buy unless you weigh under 200 and are using in a workshop or garage, it damaged my wood floor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bmeyers18 Great stool!
I purchased two of these, one for my husband to use in the garage and one to use in my first grade classroom. I love it in my classroom! I don't have to squat next to a child's desk to help him anymore. I just roll over and adjust my seat height so I can help him. I love the storage area for all the little things I need to have to work with my kiddos. It rolls pretty good on the commercial grade carpet in my classroom and I don't feel like I will tip over with the 5 casters.

I actually bought this seat for use at a quilting frame. I needed something that was height adjustable, that swiveled, and that rolled on casters. I find this to be an excellent stool for the job. The seat, however, could use a little more padding. But overall, it is very comfortable and easily adjusted and moved around. I am very, very pleased with the product.

A gift for a do-it-your-self kinda guy. I own one myself. Great product to save those knees.

This was a birthday present. Didn't know how much I needed it until my wife got it for me!

I have bad knees and it is hard for me to get around. This mechanics stool has allowed me to be mobil and I can now get things done. I can clean the garage, I can hose off the patio etc. It is just great. Thank you Home Depot for carrying this item.

I am waiting on parts (the cylinder) to arrive. It was left out of the box when shipped. Until I get the part..(they say 2 to 4 weeks)..I won't know how good or bad the item actually is.
