I am somewhat confused by both answers given regarding the weigh of this container. Both answers give the weight as 50 lbs. but the specifications give the weight as 128 oz which I believe to be 8 lbs. Could you verify the correct weight

Answer:
The correct weight is 50 lbs. This product is very heavy. The container volume is 128 oz. and that weighs 50 lbs. To give you an example a gallon jug full of sand weighs more than a gallon jug full of water and that weighs more than a gallon jug of cotton balls. They are all the same volume of 128 oz because that is what the volume of a gallon jug is but different weights because of the contents density Read More

Answer:
I don't own this but am considering buying it to use in a weighted blanket, so I'm concerned with weight, too. My guess is that the 128 oz refers to the amount by volume, rather than by weight. A cup measures by volume, so an 8 oz cup of one material (say, feathers) is a different weight from another material (say, glass beads). 128 oz would be 4 gallons, and I'd guess that 4 gallons of a very heavy Read More

Answer:
Dustless blasting is said to require at least 4 GPM from the pressure washer, and a regular pressurized blasting tank. The pressurized blast media and the pressure washer flow streams meet just outside of the washer's tip, and together are blasted to the surface to be cleaned.

I've used this brand of blasting glass before and have been happy with it. It has worked well in my blaster (TP brand). Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I haven't opened the new containers yet but I'm not expecting any surprises. Someone said this is crushed glass instead of beads. Don't know, don't care. It works very well for the price and you can't beat the free shipping Home Depot provides.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not actual glass bead Not real glass bead but rather recycled glass, big difference between the two. Expect to clean your filters often as this stuff turns to dust on impact. Was looking for a local supplier of glass bead, this however is not it.
