12-Volt Ni-Cad 3/8 in. Cordless Smart Select Drill is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is pretty good for 40 bucks. This is the first power drill I've ever owned, so I was looking for something that was great for a beginner, lightweight and fit for a woman of slim build who had never so much as touched a power drill before. It requires 9 hours to charge it's battery - which definitely seems to last long enough to a get project, or several done. Be warned, as the product description indicates, it does not come with a set of drill bits. You gets a screwdriver bit with a Phillips end and a flathead end. I built a raised garden bed out of two-by-sixes and while I eventually got the job done, it was by no means easy. What it needed was for me to pre-drill holes beforehand - and unfortunately that requires extra bits. I'd say that this drill isn't really powerful enough that you can get away with not pre-drilling holes before putting screws into wood. On the bright side, additional drill bits come in at under ten dollars - I would highly recommend buying them at the same time as buying this drill. The drill got the job done, it was fairly user friendly (which is good, because the instructions were terrible), but definitely requires the extra drill bits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Little Tool I am a home owner and love working on my home projects. I was using the "old school" power drill but it was a hassle getting extension cords lined up and dragging wire around the projects. My wife bought this for me for Father's day and I simply love it! We cannot afford Dewalt etc, but for the price this is a handy power tool. So far I have installed plywood ceilings, sheet rock, roof 1 X 6 and 2 x 4 bracing without a hassle. Great torque speed selections as well as high speed selections. Yes the charge time is long, but with the price of this tool, you have some money left over to purchase a charger and additional battery. Use one battery on the drill, while the other is charging. I have yet to purchase the charger, but the claim states it charges the batteries in one hour. With a charger and one extra battery, you should be able to work on your projects "til the cows come home." When I get the charger, I will post a review on that product for all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful and Easy to Use This drill is great! I used it to hang all my wife's curtains, blinds, picutes and even shelves my garage. For only being 12v it is even powerful enough to twist the head of your screw right off, if you dont prep yourself with a small guide whole into a stud. The charge time is a little long and you cannot run the drill at full power just by connecting the power cable to the drill. There is no charge light indicating when your battery is charging or at a full charge either, either would have been nice. For the price, you cannot get a better drill/electric screw driver.
