Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Home drill I purchased this drill for mainly light use around the home. I brought it home, charged it up, and after a good full charge, I got to using it. First off I will say that this drill being a 12 volt isn't that powerful however, it's good for light duty things, but for heavy duty drilling I have to go with my plug in Ryobi or plug in Black and Decker. I would def recommend this for light work, and med work, but if your doing construction this wont fit the bill.

This drill has been so helpful with my small projects around the house, such as installing latches on cabinets or blinds. It is not heavy and easy to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How it Failed Me. Pros: Good Design Powerful Fast Re-Charge to Finish few more screws Tight Chuck--Plastic & Metal Cons: Battery won't hold charge long No battery low indicator No replacement battery or charger New batteries are just as expensive as the drill itself. I hate writing bad reviews, but I have to for this drill. When I first bought it last year I was thrilled for the amount of money it was and how it chewed through my projects. BUT then the battery stopped working, either it was charging too long and ruined the battery, or it just does not last I am not sure but it no longer holds a charge. I tried using it today for a few small screws and it died right in the middle of my project. It does charge quickly, but drains just as fast. The easy design for bits, and strength levels is really helpful but I wish it had a battery meter so I would know when to stop charging it, or it was low. Not to mention the batteries are replaceable but 34 dollars! Just as much as if I bought a brand new one of these drills. I wish I had invested in a better, higher quality drill for my many needs. It was fun while it lasted, but wasn't long enough. I had better luck with the 7.2 volt version of B&D, and I use their products often, but with this drill I might as well set my money on fire. If you need a drill for small house projects, like hanging a picture or putting in cabinet hardware, this drill is fine and it can work for you. BUT if you need it for farm, building, or construction needs DO NOT use this one, it's not a heavy use drill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from battery will not hold a charge. Bought for low price. It worked for small project originally. Went to use it again a few month's later and left it to charge over night and wouldn't hold charge through 1 nail. WOW what a quality battery. Someone told me if you don't use drill almost daily and frequently recharge battery they are ruined. Is that the case for all power drills? Replacement battery is 2/3 cost of new drill.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked well until I increased the job I have had this drill for 3+ years. Until a few months ago I only used it around the house, hanging pictures, blinds, putting together furniture, etc. I rebuilt my deck over Labor Day and that seems to have knocked the life out of the drill. Constant heavy use over those 3 days, plus I've built 2 firewood shelters before the winter, and this thing is pretty much done. I would recommend this drill for household tasks, I think it would serve you well. If you are looking for a bigger project though, spend the extra $$. It will be worth it when you don't have to stop and charge every 45 minutes.
