The instruction manual was written for someone who has already assembled a similar product. The exact step-by-step procedure for attaching the handle... removing the orange connectors, putting the lower handle in place, attaching the connectors, etc... though easy enough... was not obvious to me. A few more illustrations would help. Or, reference to an online site other than a copy of the instruction manual; something like "Instructions for Dummies".
Otherwise , I really like my new lawn mower.

Low weight and good power. Came with two batteries.

Cuts and maneuvers around a small yard really well. The two batteries last about 15 minutes each and recharge in 40 minutes (first charge is for 8 hours). Starting the motor was tricky (the button THEN the bar) but a call to Black & Decker was helpful and friendly. It folds up and I keep it in a closet (cannot be kept outside).

My old B and D cordless mower was a real workhorse for twelve years until it was recalled and I could no longer get repairs. So far this mower feels lightweight. It's not a mulcher so you have to deal with the bag. When you raise the deck, only the front wheels go up, not the back. It bogs down in tall grass and doesn't handle the leaves. I think I will put larger wheels on the back to see if that helps. Overall I was disappointed and wish I could have my old mower back.

I wanted a mower that was easy to maintain and use. I got it with this one. It was easy to assemble and does the job well. It's nice not having to worry about having gas on hand. The charge doesn't last the whole yard, but I'm all about taking breaks!

We like this mower very much; it's light and easy to maneuver. It was pretty easy to assemble out of the box. We have a good sized lawn, and it really takes more than the two batteries to do it all. But, we're older, and frankly don't mind either taking a break or leaving part of the yard until the next day (the batteries do recharge quickly). The only complaint we have is that the grass catcher is not really easy to put on. It seems it should be - perhaps we haven't yet figured out the trick to getting it to snap into place without fiddling with it. Absolutely love the push button start! It's also so much more pleasant to mow without the loud noise and the gas fumes. All in all, this is a great little mower.

This mower does what it is expected to do. We have a small lawn and two batteries are sufficient to get the job done. When used within reasonable expectations it succeeds. Given my age and physical condition I find it easy enough to handle and the batteries hold enough of a charge to let me finish the lawn.

I've used my new B&D electric mower a couple of times so far. It made pretty good work of some overgrown grass, stalling out only where you'd expect gas powered mowers to do the same. Battery life is an issue. I have a small yard (~ 1/4 acre) and 3 batteries doesn't quite cover the whole thing. I wound up with a 8x3 foot patch that needed to be finished off the next morning. Worth it for not having to mess with gas/choke on fumes. The bag is very small making it necessary to stop and empty very often - probably my only real complaint. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would gladly do the same knowing what I know now. We'll see how it holds up.
