Answer:
Why would you unplug it? If you are mowing, you must leave it plugged in to get the job done. This unit does not have a battery, so you must leave it plugged in.

This is a corded model and must remain plugged in while in use.
Start your mowing job closest to the electrical outlet and work your way out. Be ever mindful of where the cord is so you don't run it over. Similar to using a vacuum inside your house...

Is the cord annoying when mowing?

Between my lawn and the outlet is a garden of summer flowers with stairs down the center. I am concerned that the cord will "rake" over my garden back and forth as I mow. Is there a solution, other than going cordless? (battery replacements vs. annoyance of cord.) Thanks.

I do not find the cord annoying. Of course you have to keep moving the cord to avoid running over it. Answer:
The cord can be annoying but I'm getting better with using after several tries. You may just need a longer cord to go around the flower bed.
I looked at the battery models as well and the mowers were significantly costlier.
I've have good luck with the B&D electric products, my EdgeHog is 12 years old and still works like a champ.
So far I've been pleased with my pruchase.

Answer:
I've always used a corded lawn mower. I don't have the strength to pull the gas models and I have gotten quite used to the cord. Yes, you must be careful around some shrubs, so you stop what you are doing and move It!

Answer:
This is a fairly common lawn mower. There shouldn't be a problem getting extra parts for it. And you can always go to your local lawn mower repair guy and he should have no trouble installing a new blade for you.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not As Advertised I need a grass catcher for my mower and since the bag for my previous mower ripped and the bag was no longer sold, I needed to buy a new mower. I specifically chose this model because of the unrippable plastic grass catcher. It turns out the picture is wrong and you get a bag just as I had before which will eventually rip and need to be replaced if they choose to continue making them. Misleading photo by Home Depot. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sad mistake Have had a BD electric mower for 15 yrs and loved it. An electric mower is not as powerful as a gas powered mower and the cord is always a downside but I have a small yard and don't need much. I decided to replace it this spring. Bad decision. I am 70 and reasonably fit. I did not have enough hand strength to assemble snaps on grass catcher . I had to get my son's help. While he was here we assembled the whole mower. We kept thinking we had done something wrong as it looked"goofy" ! Handle so ridiculously tall the bale is at chest height on me and I'm 5'6". Looks like it was made for a eight foot gardener. There is no "pull back" cut as the front wheels go right off the ground, it is so poorly balanced. Last insult: a bird landed on the handle and that was enough to tip it backwards!! Light weight (30 lbs) should have caused some engineer to think maybe we should tweak the balance. May 3, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Review The grass catcher is too small, and is frustrating to unload. This mower would be ideal for a small yard. It is too small for my medium-sized yard. Otherwise, it's fine. I recommend it for ease of mowing. I don't recommend it if you get irritated putting things together (grass catcher again!) or if you have anything but a small yard. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Faulty assembly parts Assembly is difficult. Prior reviews indicated that the hardest part was grass catcher, so I took my time and it wasn't so bad, but I didn't have kind words for B&D. Easiest part per reviews was the ease of the rest of assembly. The lower handle should go into the corresponding holes, and screws are provided to secure. Screws are too big for the holes in the lower handle. I even tried with it not attached to mower, and they don't fit, plain and simple. Unfortunatley B&D doesn't believe in customer service on the weekends, so I'm stuck until Monday. Mower may work once assembled, but if you can't assemble it, it doesn't matter. July 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I have been wanting in an electric mower. Well designed, lightweight. Easy to maneuver.I had to refrain from putting any downward pressure on the handle as it was easy to lift the mowing deck off the ground. I was so used to struggling with my old heavy gas mower. Handle folds down for easy storage. Wonderful for my small yard. November 15, 2015
