Answer:
The BD tech line says 10-12 minutes for this 1.4 amp battery. Specs above said it was a 1.5 amp battery. Apparently the tech line says 1.4.

Answer:
Just don't throw them into the Trash. Take them to an area in your Town that collects worn out Batteries and such. Most likely they have such a collection bin somewhere.

Best I've gotten was 20 minutes but this was not with continuous usage. Gave it a break every now and then. Frustrating when you have lots to do and to recharge takes hours.

If you get 15 min. of continuous run time it is lasting a about what it should. If you get more up to 30 min is very rare and great, but expect about 10- 18min is normal.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 106 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Always good to have a spare battery Black & Decker products are not the top-of-the-line but they are a good product to have and they last a long time. The 18 V battery pack I purchase was for the old one that lasted five years. Not bad for NiCad battery. Very satisfied with it and the price was not bad. October 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Battery sucks After limited use for 1 1/2 years, fails to charge or hold charge. Replacement not worth the investment for this low cost trimmer. October 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not hold charge Good power right off charger...not so after 2 days August 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No power I bought this as a replacement for the batteries that came with my trimmer. When fully charged it lasts about 5 - 10 minutes compared to the old ones which lasted for a good 20-30 minutes or longer when they were new. I am very disappointed and will probably buy a new trimmer now but not a B&D August 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed in the battery I bought a new battery for my weed eater and it did not last long. I have two batteries and one lasts about 15 minutes, the second for only 5. I won't be buying any more of these and will look for another brand of weed eater. Too bad. The cord free made it easier for the farther away spots, but I'm not going to fund some CEO by continuing to buy this battery. August 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Guttless Battery Bought a new one on 7/28/16. Checked with BD tech service to find out amp rating and compatibility with ZST 2018 trimmer. Charged it for 8 hours. Lasted about 1 minute in service on the trimmer. Recharged and tried it a second time. No better. July 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New battery is great The battery does last longer. I would have gotten it sooner. I am a very happy customer. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rechargeable Battery Replacement rechargeable battery works like a champ! July 13, 2016
