Bought this lawn mower last year, thinking saving the environment and money on gas, it was a big disappointment. My lawn is about 3000 square feet, the lawn mower just not powerful enough. The ads saids it can cut up to 1/3 acr in one charge... far from it. My grass has to be short and dry, otherwise, it only cuts 1/3 of my property size. and even when the grass condition is good, the cutting is not even, because the battery will lose its pwer as you cut. I was very frustrated to cut my lawn in 2 days. (the recharge time takes 8-9hrs.) I'm not sure if its good for a smaller lawn. I'm getting rid of it and getting myself a gas mower instead.

We used to have a gas lawn mower that my husband always had to use as I could never start it. We had one BIG PROBLEM - my husband is away on business a lot!!! I couldn't even hire students to do!!!! Our lawn was a mess!!! We decided to buy the cordless for me. The Black & Decker Cordless 24V mower is so easy to use!!!!! All I do is turn on the key and hold the handle open and off it starts!!! I keep it plugged in the garage!! Easy!!!
It also does a very good job of cutting the grass and collecting. With this lawn mower, our lawn never goes unmowed and my husband gets the very much needed break from doing it!!!

I had never mowed a lawn in my whole life.I chose this mower since I didn't want a gas one,and our property was too large to have a corded model. This model mowed the whole property on one charge easily.Wasn't overly loud, was easy to figure out how to use.I do wish it was lighter in weight, but that's the only complaint I have.I'm sure for a man its weight wouldn't be an issue, but for a woman it's a bit heavy. It's easy to push around, and I highly recommend this item.I can't fathom why anyone would want some polluting gas mower, and a model that has a cord seems awkward to use to me.Rechargeable is the way to go!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vividoll Great product -can't be said of the service...
I love this lawn mower. It's quieter than gas mowers and doesn't smell or you don't have to worry about accidentally making a mess. I live in attached units and my neighbors mention how quiet the mower is -they don't hear me cutting my grass. It does feel slightly less powerful than gas or conventional (corded) electric mowers, but if you keep it charged right before use, it gets the job done regardless.
If you're eco-conscious, I would recommend this even at full price. If you're looking to try something new, I would recommend waiting for a sale only because it doesn't cut a real wide strip of grass and I think you could get a bigger mower for about the same cost.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ktowngardner Great Lawnmower!!!
I took advantage of the offer to turn in my old gas mower at Home Depot and receive a rebate towards a "green" lawnmower. I chose this Black&Decker 24V Mulching Cordless Mower. I am so pleased with my choice! It took only putting the handle together and charging it up before taking it out for a "spin". Cuts like a dream, easy to manuever, very quiet, easy 4-wheel height adjustment control, mulches or bags grass cuttings. My lawn was quite high after all the rains we have had and I had no problems cutting. My lawn looks great!
The charger also has a light to indicate when charging is complete. I can mow both my front & back lawns and no lack of power. Charges quickly too! A terrific product!

I purchased this lawn mower in an attempt to avoid having to deal with the maintenance and hassle of gas powered mowers. Although I have only had the product for a month, so far it lives up to my expectations. It mows medium length grass well and even, the adjustment feature is great, it is less noisy than a traditional mower but isn't extremely quiet. Not being self propelled can be annoying but it is not heavy enough to be a real problem. I have a small to medium sized yard (probably 3K sq ft) which takes about 30 minutes to mow and the battery has run strong the entire time. As long as the battery doesn't die on me in a year I will be very satisfied with this product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by yojamey Good enough basic Mower- free of Fumes and
Have had for over 10 years and Initially had sticker shock
Like all lead acid batteries it needs to be kept fully charged as soon as possible after use.
I have replaced the batteries a couple of times with Batteries purchased from an online auction site...All you need is a torx bit to remove the black cover and the batteries are an easy swap.
We use without the bag in mulch-mode and it does fine as grass is not too long or too wet. Otherwise it will bog down
My wife and I both like the like no cords of plug in mower and we are free of fumes, tune ups, oil changes and pull starter.

The mower starts and then stops, even after charging for days. I've only successfully mowed my lawn 5 times in 3 years. The other times I give up and pay someone to mow my lawn because it continues to stop, even when I first begin to mow. I don't know if the motor dies or what's going on but after it stops, if I wait a few minutes (or hours) it will sometimes start back up but who has all day or days to go back and forth mowing their lawn? Now it won't stop at all so I guess it's pretty much done. What a waste.
