19 in. 24-Volt Walk-Behind Cordless Electric Lawn Mower-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding cordless electric mower We bought this mower after we finally got tired of fixing out gas mower. Despite the tupperware look of it, the mower is well-built and durable. Also, we had initially been concerned about the power of the electric motor versus the gas, the electric motor has proven itself well. It did take a couple of charges and uses before the battery consistently held a full charge, so if you have purchased this mower it might be good to follow through with a couple of charges and uses before giving up and returning it! The mower height is really easy to adjust, which has proven helpful in our rather lumpy yard. It is so quiet that we can talk while mowing, and I don't feel bad about the noise in the neighborhood. The mulch bag is easy to use, and the maneuverability of this mower is outstanding - partly because it is lighter and narrower than any gas mower we've had. I like the bar power mechanism - you just hold the bar to the push handle to use it, and release the bar to stop it. My husband finds this mower incredibly extremely convenient, reliable and low-maintenance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An ECO product Eco friendly, no fumes, quiet and must do a good job in a dryer climate. Washington State is very wet and therefore the grass gets way too long before it dries enough to cut. This mower is good but doesn't do well in long grass that is moist . I used it at the highest level but It stalled a lot. Battery runs out quickly under these moist circumstances. It must be great on really dry grass not too long and a smoother flat terrain. I have a slopey, bumpy terrain and it was hard to push and turn (since you are not supposed to pull it backwards). I am a senior citizen with arthritis in hands so this was more difficult for me. Recommend for dryer conditions, get an extra battery if you have wet conditions so it will run longer. I did a 10 X 12 area and it died while continually stalling, I had to really slow down and tilt the mower up in the front so it wouldn't stall. Needless to say it was exhausting for me. But I will keep the mower and wait until the grass is really dry, as I like the fact that it is a lighter mower with no fumes and little noise. Until then I hired a landscaper to get me going unitl it really dries up a little more in this state. BTW when it stalls it takes a while before it will start again. I pulled out the start key and inserted again and then tried to start, sometimes it worked sometimes it took more tries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery Mower I have owned one of these for 3 years now. It has only one weak point as I see it. This is the life of the Battery. I do manage to get 90 minutes from a charge. It runs right up until the blade will no longer turn. I run it to the end, then charge it most of the time. I learned that batteries have a recharge cycle number before they are done. I can still cut the grass even though the battery is depleting. Which means that if I do not get the lawn finished (usually not) I plug it in while doing the trimming, then may have enough to finish, or the next day I finish. Another half hour would probably be enough. Perhaps the next battery will have longer life. I spoke to B&D about this, and they understand the problem. Other than that, it is outstanding. It costs me between 5 to 10 cents to recharge. I read one analysis that your coffee maker uses more energy than recharging the mower. I love this thing! It costs no more to purchase than a gas one. It is quiet as a fan. It means there is No gas to buy. And Store. No fire hazard here. No oil. No muffler. No smell. I use it to take care of the leaves in the fall, bag them up and put them in one of those big lawn bags, lot easier than days of raking. I figure that it cost me $5 to mow the lawn with the gas mower. Dropping to $.10 is not too hard to take. The replacement battery is $100 or so. But that is going to be based on how often you use it. I mow my lawn nearly every day in the summer, and often the neighbors. I like to use it. I get exercise walking behind it and like the way the lawn looks. Never any clumps of grass lying all over. CA

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 19" cordless lawn mower I have two of them. Both of them did a great job mowing and the battery life was as promised. I bragged to everyone about my green mower. Well after two years, the first mower lost the whole starting mechanism, it just broke off. I tried to get it fixed but no one wants to work on those mowers. So I decided to buy another one. It lasted one summer and low and behold the starting box, this time located in the front broke off as I was starting the mower. Once the plastic box is gone, there is a pin that you can push in with your thumb and the mower is workable but very painful. Needless to say the second mower joined the first and they are permanently parked next to each other in the garage. I would have given the product 5 stars if I could get it started and working!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine for me I just replaced my old Toro Easycare cordless mower with this Black and Decker Cordless. I couldn't be happier with the performance so far. It is lighter and easier to navigate around the yard than the old Toro. I have St. Augustine grass and it pushed very easily through the soft carpet lawn. The mower had plenty of power cutting the spring growth and the single lever height adjustment is very easy and convenient to use. So far I've only used the mulching mode and it does a fine job with the grass but doesn't do a lot with the hard live oak leaves that come down in thte Spring but I don't think many mowers do. This mower will easily tuck away in the corner of the garage with it's folding handle and abilty to store in any position. So at this point the only unknown is how long the battery will last. The construction of the unit seems study enough to last and I'm hoping to enjoy this mower for a long while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black and Decker 24-Volt Cordless Mulching Mower We love this Balck and Decker cordless mower. We bought it over 3 years ago when Home Depot was having a trade-in to help the environment, and couldn't be happier. It's so easy to start with the lever and keep going by pressing the handle bar. Easier to stop by releasing the handle bar. The noise level is so low you can actually think while mowing. The wheel adjustment lever is so simple - just one hand to squeeze and all four wheels are lowered or raised. This is the best lawn tool we have. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from piece of cake! skinny female with no strength ... not a good combo when trying to push a lawnmower over a 1/4 acre of grass in the heat of the summer. this mower has made mowing a breeze! so light to push and so easy to start! no yucky fuel smells. so clean! and the bag is great because i do not have to rake. the mower would only be better if there was a man to push it ...
