Rated 5 out of 5Â by sassyrabbit Best cordless I have ever bought!!!
I have not had luck with cordless vacuums for the car- I gave up trying to get inexpensive and bought this- it has been in my closet for 6 months and I did not even charge it today- took it out, it ran well, so went to clean my car - wow, great suction- little noisy - but i got most of the dirt off my driver's side mat- which was nasty!!!! I had done the rest with another smaller vac but will charge this up well and give another go tomorrow to make sure the car is really cleaned up. Try this one- spend the money- it does not need to be charged before you use it- unless you are using it for hours.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by CleanInSeattle Good suction, lightweight, brush needs a redesign, good battery life, good spot cleaner!
I clean houses professionally and I bought this product to help do some spot cleaning for some clients that I see a few times a week; I didn't want to bring a full size vacuum every time. I've had other dustbusters with nickel metal hydride type batteries and have had issues with the batteries so the lithium ion sounded like it would be a step up. I'll try to address the good and bad aspects as they come up: 1) This is a light vacuum, and ergonomically it's very easy to hold. Some may have issues with the power button and the filter release button being so close together but it's not a problem for me. Great feel in the hand, well balanced. The nozzle extension looks like it will be great for crevices though I haven't used it; think it will do very well in my car. Problem: the brush on the end of the nozzle is pretty useless for my purposes. When I flip it up for use, the suction is significantly reduced since there is a gap between the brush and the nozzle. If I use it to brush up pet hairs or crumbs on fabric, it vacuums up very little and pushes most of the debris around. Black and Decker, you NEED to fix this! 2) Suction is good, maybe great. I pick up a fair amount of kitty litter that's tracked around my client's house, as well as pet hair and other debris. For spot cleanup, this vacuum is an excellent choice. The narrow nozzle limits the capability of this product to a smaller area; if you need to vacuum bigger areas you'll need to step up to a bigger vacuum. 3) Capacity is good as well, though I find if I have picked up a lot of kitty litter, it will start spilling out the end of the nozzle. But once I empty the unit, all is well. And emptying the B & D is easy, but I must say that reattaching the nozzle back to the body is not very ergonomic. I have put the nozzle back on a few times to find that it's only latched on one side; you really have to press down pretty hard and make sure you feel or hear both latches snap to secure the nozzle. I don't know if this is just a problem with mine or if this is how they all are; it's not a deal breaker, but it could stand some improvement. 4) Battery life is excellent; I haven't timed it, but I probably get more than 25 minutes of on and off use. And it maintains its power until the battery is dead; the motor does sound a little different when the battery is just about drained, but it still maintains suction power. And I've recharged the unit after partial and full discharges of power and it's going great. The charger works pretty fast; I think it's only about 2 - 3 hours to recharge after the battery is fully drained. 5) This vacuum is fairly noisy; I haven't found a dustbuster that wasn't though. But if they could improve the noise level that would be a big plus. 4) Durability- I've only had this product for 3 weeks, so only time will tell. The unit's construction is pretty solid so that's good, but the main consideration of course is the battery. For the money, it's a big step up from a lot of the cheap portable vacs you see, and it's not nearly as spendy as the most expensive ones on the market, so value is decent. So pros are: good suction, light and easy to use, maintains suction thru battery life, convenient battery charging (can use after partial charging). Cons: brush attachment reduces suction power significantly, noisy, reattaching nozzle after emptying is a little difficult.
All in all, I like this product and would recommend it for spot cleanup. It's more convenient than having to plug in a full size vacuum for every mess, and has enough power to do the job.

Nice little hand vac. Has strong suction, is lightweight, easy to put in charger. I'm very pleased. The flip-up brush is OK ... it is nice for microfiber furniture because it smooths out the fiber, but the suction isn't as good when it is being used. You do need a flat surface for the charger - it doesn't mount on the wall, but the charger is nice - it's just a disk that you set the vac on ... it doesn't matter which way it goes. It does have a very bright blue light when it is done charging that lights up my whole laundry room.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BobonHatterasIsland Finally a battery that actually works and lasts!
We have owned many B+D hand held dustbuster vacs over the years. Once in a while one might work as expected but most of the various models that we have bought in the past died prematurely. And these things aren't cheap either with prices ranging from around 45 to 75 dollars for the higher voltage models. Our latest 15.6 V model lasted less than 3 months.
While searching for a new hand vac on line we came across the new B+D Titanium model. The cost compared to the poor performing models that we have owned in the past was much higher and we wondered if it would be a wise move to potentially get suckered by Black and Decker again.
Well this time, at least so far, this company finally got it right with this new battery.
Don't waste your money on any of the other B+D hand
vac. models. Spring for the newer Titanium model. The battery far outlasts any of the others that we have owned.

Leaf sweeper works as advertised. I had compared Lowe's offerings and found that Home Depot had better quality options. Assembly was a snap until the final steps of assembling the 'catcher box' which really needs another set of hands.
