Answer:
This comes with a short "pigtail" cord that you will attach your extension cord to. Loop the extension cord through the handle and behind the cord holding 'hook' just behind the switch..

Answer:
No, it does not. I bought the cord separately. Make sure you check how many amps the cord can handle and cross check it with how many amps the trimmer uses. Also make sure the cord is rated for outdoor use.

Constant ON switch?

My old black and decker has an awesome switch that one I engage the start trigger to make the blades move, I can then hit the top switch that will keep the blades moving. I love this feature and it appears that manufactures are doing away or not listing it?

Does this have that feature? OR is it a top button press/slide to engage the actual trigger power button?

Thanks

No. You have to squeeze the handle to keep it running. I think it would be too dangerous to have the switch stay on without squeezing.

My old B&D trimmer was the same as yours. No, this trimmer does not lock on, but this trimmer works so much better than my old one it does not matter. The safety police are protecting you. Like I said this works so much better than my old trimmer I would buy again.

There is still a lock button which needs to be pressed down to engage the trigger. But unfortunately, in order to keep the unit running, you must now continue to squeeze the trigger.

Answer:
4 amps, recommended cord is 14ga. Smaller gauge (higher number) will create a voltage drop, increasing amperage, over heating the motor which may cause switch or motor failure. I personally use 12 ga. cords on all my corded power tools

I always clean mine after use, I will spray WD-40 on both sides of the blade then run it for ten seconds or so, then I will wipe it down and spray it with a lightweight oil, run it and put it away. Nothing in the instructions about it but it's just something I have done will all my power tools over the years.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 261 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than I expected I was visiting my Wife's Grandmother and picked this hedge trimmer up to trim her hedges that were growing over the roof line and was looking rough. I was initially going to rent a gas trimmer but this was 10 bucks cheaper so I thought I would give it try. Cut amazing, better then I had ever guessed. I trimmed back over 100' of hedges that where large. If the branch could fit between the teeth it would cut it. Make sure you clean the teeth and hit it with some Wd40 before storage or it be trash. Great buy for the money and was impressed. If this won't cut it you should be using a chain saw. June 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stopped Working I tried to use this edge trimmer for the second time and i only have 5 small bushes that i need to use it on. The trimmer stopped working half way. there is power in the extension cord as all other power tools (all black & Decker) are working except this one. Will be taking back to the store for 100% refund. I am glad i took the 2 yr protection plan. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Goog product This trimmer is very dependable and the blades cut 1/2 inch limbs with ease July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple Low Cost easy to assemble. Low cost option compared to battery units and no mess with gas / oil. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unbelievable for the Price!!! My hedges look like a PRO did them. I've hardly ever trimmed hedges. My wife is the gardener. She said I did a "Great Job"...WOW!!! July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by garbage I got more done with hand tools then i got done with with this i will be returning it as i am very upset with the operation of this tool sorry home depot you should remove from the shelves February 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by so far so good only used it a couple of times so far, but it seems to do what it claims it will do...may update review with additional usage...4 stars for Features and Value, as those are yet to be determined due to limited usage...definitely easy to use, and seems to be of good quality and durable July 17, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by adequate but not great Put together easily but after just one week it has a habit of stalling out ( even though its a plug in) so I think the motor really can't handle even simple week and evergreen trimming. Also the way it's designed the plug keeps falling out way too easily which is aggrevating to say the least. July 5, 2016
