Hello Boss,
For optimal use recharge every 60 days and/or after every use. From completely depleted to full takes roughly 6hrs. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

I can't find a cord that looks like it should plug the charger into an electrical outlet. I don't see a picture or info on ordering a replacement.

Answer:
There is no cord that comes with the device. There is a USB port where you can plug your own cord to power and/or charge your devices.

300-Amp Portable Jump Starter is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't hold charge Got this In May 2016. Used it maybe 8 times. Only for lawn mower or atv. Worked for a couple months but poorly. Now won't hold a charge for more than 5 minutes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not enough AMPS!! I have a 2010 Ford Explorer 8 cylinder and this charger does not have enough power to jump start my truck. At the time my truck's battery was absolutely dead, no lights, nothing. I charged it for 48 hours like they said to do and the best I got was my lights and radio went on, but the engine would not turn over, but with the 500 amps at 89.95 the truck started easily. The 300 amps might very well charge a small car or motor cycle, but don't waste your time and spend the extra 40 bucks and get the 500 amps. So if you have a large car or Suv, beware, because on the box it says yes to Suv's, but from my experience I say NO.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will not jumpstart a car. Only good for lawnmowers or small engines I bought this starter under the premise that it would start a car battery. I kept it charged as directed but have needed it twice and neither time would it start my car. Even though the package shows images of cars and suv's, it doesn't work. Money not very well spent since now I need to go buy a different one that will actually start my car when needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked for several years, but failed me recently. I bought the 350 Amp version (likely from HD) about 6-7 years ago. It worked great for jump starting my car and boat, as well as backing up my trailer batteries (to power the electric jack - not run all the stuff inside). Just before a recent trip with the trailer to Death Valley, my car battery discharged unexpectedly and I needed a jump. The Jump Starter showed almost fully charged, but it wouldn't start my Expedition. Knowing I might have problems on the trip, I brought the jumper, and plugged it into the 120V inverter in the car to charge it up. It was charged to green, but when I DID have a problem in a pretty remote location, it still wouldn't start the engine. Fortunately, I also had carried my small Honda generator as well as a battery charger with a high-amp engine start setting. That combination got me going. These units won't last forever - especially if they sit around for a while. I'll probably get another B&D - perhaps the 500 Amp version with the compressor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 300 is a small jump pack If you have a big truck, car etc - you need to get a larger one. That's the only reason it gets low reviews. Find out how many amps your car battery is and buy one that's the proper size. I have a 400 battery and works fine if not completely dead. This is also key. If battery is completely dead, may need to leave it on for one full charge to bring battery back some power. Then recharge it again and should work (not always necessary - but again it must be used on small battery's. That's why they make 600,700,800,1000. Can't expect the smallest cheapest pack to work on larger capacity cars and trucks. Especially in the cold. Look at your battery you want to protect and buy the proper sized. Unit and will have no problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I won't buy it again Lasted 2 winter seasons here in New York. It wouldn't take a charge after that. Worked well on my Subaru Impreza during that time. I used it 2 or 3 times. However, this is a disposable short-term charger. If that is what you want, fine. If you want a charger that will give you many years of service, buy something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good unit for jumping small equipment. Bought this unit three years ago for my business. Money well spent. I have used it a number of occasions to jump lawn mowers, my sons ATV, run chain sharpeners, and a small tire compressor. It will not jump a truck I have tried twice it does not have the amps. I leave it in my trailer and rarely charge it and it has always been there and ready to go when I needed it. I am impressed with the unit and I am looking to purchase the 500 amp unit to leave in my truck.
