Hello Boss,
For optimal use recharge every 60 days and/or after every use. From completely depleted to full takes roughly 6hrs. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

I can't find a cord that looks like it should plug the charger into an electrical outlet. I don't see a picture or info on ordering a replacement.

Answer:
There is no cord that comes with the device. There is a USB port where you can plug your own cord to power and/or charge your devices.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I won't buy it again Lasted 2 winter seasons here in New York. It wouldn't take a charge after that. Worked well on my Subaru Impreza during that time. I used it 2 or 3 times. However, this is a disposable short-term charger. If that is what you want, fine. If you want a charger that will give you many years of service, buy something else. July 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 300 is a small jump pack If you have a big truck, car etc - you need to get a larger one. That's the only reason it gets low reviews. Find out how many amps your car battery is and buy one that's the proper size. I have a 400 battery and works fine if not completely dead. This is also key. If battery is completely dead, may need to leave it on for one full charge to bring battery back some power. Then recharge it again and should work (not always necessary - but again it must be used on small battery's. That's why they make 600,700,800,1000. Can't expect the smallest cheapest pack to work on larger capacity cars and trucks. Especially in the cold. Look at your battery you want to protect and buy the proper sized. Unit and will have no problems. May 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Black,& Decker 300 portable jumpstart Works great !! Have already helped 3 different couples on the freeway with car problems... January 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not recommend This product worked when I first bought it. I feel it was a waste of my money because it does not hold a charge. I have been trying to charge it for a week and still no results. It's like paying someone and it's over. I have the 300 amp jumpstart. It would have been nice to have in today's world when you can barely get people to speak. November 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not enough AMPS!! I have a 2010 Ford Explorer 8 cylinder and this charger does not have enough power to jump start my truck. At the time my truck's battery was absolutely dead, no lights, nothing. I charged it for 48 hours like they said to do and the best I got was my lights and radio went on, but the engine would not turn over, but with the 500 amps at 89.95 the truck started easily. The 300 amps might very well charge a small car or motor cycle, but don't waste your time and spend the extra 40 bucks and get the 500 amps. So if you have a large car or Suv, beware, because on the box it says yes to Suv's, but from my experience I say NO. November 16, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DOA This is a beautiful unit and I really would have liked to write a positive review. The idea is great but when I plugged it in for 4 DAYS, it still didn't take a charge. The initial charge is suppose to take 48 hours according to the manual. Also, it would be nice if it came with a power cord. You have to supply your own if you want to charge the unit. Furthermore, the directions tell you to NOT TO BRING IT BACK TO THE STORE! B&D wants you to deal with them directly. I am bringing this back to the store as I don't have time to fool around with a unit that was defective from the start. October 31, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I could not wait to charge 48 hours initially. My car ran out of juice. I needed jump start right away to head out, so I bought this 300-AMP Portable Jump Starter from Black and Decker. The instruction said that I had to charge for 48 hours initially. The charging started around 7 PM, and I had to drive my car the next morning around 8 AM. I ignored the instruction and jump started my car battery. The car battery was charged. I resumed charging the jump starter for next 48 hours, but the jump starter's charge indicator was always red. I think I screwed it up. Maybe I cannot use it next time. We will see. March 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Will not jumpstart a car. Only good for lawnmowers or small engines I bought this starter under the premise that it would start a car battery. I kept it charged as directed but have needed it twice and neither time would it start my car. Even though the package shows images of cars and suv's, it doesn't work. Money not very well spent since now I need to go buy a different one that will actually start my car when needed. January 5, 2015
