The picture shows blades on this trimmer but under Details, Trimmer Type it says "Consumer Electric Cordless String". I want to make sure it has blades like the picture.
Thank you

As they are removable, I don't see why you couldn't do either. I got these for my girlfriend and she loves them.

4 in. 3.6-Volt Hand-Held Shaft Cordless Compact Grass Shears is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from not very good This item is not very good. The shears are not sharp and I needed to make several passes before anything was cut. It won't hold a charge. The product states that the more you use the more the battery will hold charge. This isn't true. I only kept it as long as I did because I hoped the more I used and recharged the shears would sustain longer use times. NOT true. After 10 minutes the thing died, I recharged for 18 hours before the indicator light began to flash, not go out as indicated in the instruction. Again only 10 min. of use before it died again. I will definitely be returning this product.

This is the exact thing that we were looking for to trim grass around a headstone, where electricity can't be found. It is light and easy to handle. It recharges quickly. Works very well!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth 2 cents My trimmer is less than 6 months old. I have had it on charge for a week an when I went to use it, it lasted less than 2 minutes. Save time and look at a different brand!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard To Use Thought this was going to be great to use on trimming hedges or grass, but it was difficult to use. The 'safety' feature is a nuisance and tiring when trying to cut continuously. I tried to love it, but after a year I still hate the fact that I kept it. It was a cheap buy, but it's best to shell out some more money for betting trimmers that does that job with better ease.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like the old model better We have used the original Black & Decker rechargeable grass shears in the past and really liked them for trimming the ivy on our house. But apparently B&D discontinued the model that we have used in the past and came up with this new model. I do not like the new model, it is lighter, but I feel that it is more difficult to turn on, because of the safety feature, you need to hold a button down as you turn it on. Good for safety I guess, but the placement of the button makes it seem more awkward to me. The older model also offered a way to replace the blades when they became dull, but this one does not have that option. When the blades need to be replaced, you will need to buy a new one. It works, but I liked the old style much better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tool or Toy If you need a real tool, keep looking. This thing has no power to cut through thick grass. What a joke!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would not recommend unless you have teeny-tiny space to trim. I admit, they do work well. Light weight. The safety button is a hassle. The battery is enclosed so you can't buy extra's.. and the charge didn't last past 15 minutes the first time, closer to 25-30 mins (at best) after that. B & D claim a charge should last 45 min. If you read the instructions… it states the unit will recharge within 3-9 hours, however, that claim is made with instructions printed in 2014. I was informed that the new instructions printed 2015 now claim the actual recharge time to be 24 to 29 hours. Really? The ratio of 45 min to 25 hours of charging is.. ridiculous ! I think Black & Decker needs to rethink the design, the battery life, the charger.. basically everything. Oh, and the green light is supposed to go off when it's fully charged. Mine doesn't. It just stays green, I never know when it's fully charged. Maybe it's defective..I don't know but, I will be returning it. Not worth $45 bucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hand Held Trimmer Good little trimmer for small jobs where you don't want to get out the weed wacker. Keep blades lubed with WD-40 and wear gloves so you don't chop your finger. I love this little trimmer.
