Answer:
A shop vac can be loosly attached with the right size conversion on the tube. The diameter on this sander is small. It will not lock in but will be tight enough to sorta hold itself in by friction.

Answer:
It's just your typical hook and look (think Velcro) attachment. Just get an orbital sanding disk and stick it on there. Line up the holes and you're ready to go.

This sander is designed to use 5” (127mm) sanding discs with the 8 hole dust extraction pattern. While other brands may be compatible, for best results, use Black+Decker accessories.

I haven't used as much as other reviewers but I can say it works. I made probably close to 30 walking sticks this past summer and it did a superb job. I bought the wrong sandpaper (not enough holes) but it still sanded fine. There's two downsides, hence the last star taken off. The dust bag, where it connects, seems a little fragile. I don't know how long the "locking tab" will last. Also, my hand cramps up after a couple minutes. I'm not real familiar with power sanders so I guess I can't say if its just this sander or if others are uncomfortable too. Hope this helps. Thanks for reading.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for the price Bought this to sand my house siding after scraping for paint prep. I have a Black and Decker oscillating sander that has held up for years and a reciprocating saw that is higher quality. This feels a little lower quality than those tools but only costs 30$. Does the job fine. Seems good for occasional use. If it was for pro use would go with Dewalt or something and spend more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok I ran this sander for about 1-2 hours a day 3 days a week. This is my 3rd B&D sander in about 16 months and it quit yesterday. It did what I needed but after 3 of them (about $100) my next one will be a DeWalt or Milwaukee. The B&D should be fine for lighter projects but I was probably asking too much using them on 100 year old barn wood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for smaller jobs. This sander comes in handy for smaller jobs, big cabinets and such are not its forte. Easy clean up and not a lot of kickback.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Affordable...not sure about quality I've never had a sander. Doesn't seem to be effective but maybe I'm using it wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLACK+DECKER 5 in. Random Orbit Sander Disc Being disabled and only use of one hand this sander works perfectly. Not to powerful where my hand gets tired but enough to do the job.
