Answer:
I have an older model that has 2 tines and 4 blades on each tine. Picture looks similar to mine but this one is 20v versus mine which is 18v.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 42 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good tool, depending on the job Pleasantly surprised with this easy to assemble, lightweight, cordless product. I have used for two patches, so far. First photo shows a mostly dirt-filled patch and the cultivator made pretty easy work of all but some really tough weeds, still showing. The next patch I'm working is ALL very stubborn weeds. Doesn't look in the photo like I got very far but in reality, it has done quite a bit. I don't think it was really intended for this type of job but it is getting it done. If you are smaller, like me, I found it easier to kind of circle around the patch, always bringing the cultivator towards me, and going over the area multiple times - pushing and pulling over the same patch was very tiring. I will get an extra battery, since I have no other B&D cordless tools and it is a long charging time (8 hours) for relatively short period of use (2 1/2 hours). This cultivator will work for me, and I don't have to worry about running over the cord, mixing fuel for a 2-stroke, etc.! June 22, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool but incompatible battery Purchased this thinking it would be compatible with my other B&D yard tools - wrong! B&D can't seem to get the common battery thing down - now it's useless until I go buy another battery & charger - will have 4 batteries & charger setup on bench for tools that only get used once in a while! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product does a good job of doing what its designed to do. The cultivator works well for small area weeding and cultivating. I used it to till soil for spot seeding. My soil is a bit on the hard and rocky side. The cultivator did a good job, but I used it within a couple of days of a nice rain. It probably wouldn't work nearly as well in mid-August parched ground. It works well for relatively small areas. I would advise a second battery if you plan to use it over 20 minutes or so. The charger is pretty slow. I happen to have a B&D 18V trimmer that came with 2 batteries that are interchangeable with the cultivator battery. With 2 chargers and 3 batteries I get quite a bit of use. I would recommend this product. June 25, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by black and decker cordless cultivator Got the package exactly 5 days from the order date, package in good shape, not thrilled the driver left it on the front porch aginst the railing(its packaged in man. shelf box)it screamed "come and take me". It was the easiest thing I've EVER put together. I had batteries all ready charged from my B & D weeder, so within 2 mins. I was outside digging grass(packed hard) from around my trees and bushes. It did a good job. Just remember the harder the ground or chore the firmer your grip on the handles should be, this thing has some torque and Will pull out of your hands. Good quality workmanship. I rated it a 5. It's well worth $99. August 3, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Could not believe how well it worked! Saw this online and thought - what the heck for $99, I'll try it. Probably won't work, but I can return it. This is my new favorite tool! I charged it overnight and used it this morning to till my veggie garden which was completely filled with weeds. I actually did two passes, the first to get rid of the big weeds (which I then quickly raked up and bagged) and the second to actually prepare for planting. The thing never lost power. Tomorrow I am going to use it to weed my flower beds before mulching. Great gadget, perfect for any home gardener who has more enthusiam than time - and you can't beat the price. May 26, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Deal Needed this to break up firm soil. Did the trick for a replant of grass seed. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very good buy! The tool is powerful and easy to use. I would not want to till acres with it, but it is great for small jobs such as flower beds and mulch piles. October 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weeding is my least favorite Saves your back and almost elimnates the need for tedious weeding by fingers! Awesome easy to use tool. I don't know about your yard and plant beds - but I end up with more than one weed to try and hand crank. Those types were not appealing to me and would rather sit on a stool and pull weeds. But this just churns up the area and just give it a good rake out. Very sturdy and the battery seems to last a good session of yard work. Shame it is not advertised - found this while watching an HGTV program and it took a while googling to figure out what it was called. February 6, 2010
