Answer:
If you don't have the charger yet, take your battery to a Home depot, asnd check it. I have one of the chanrgers, and I do believe it will. I have a 12 volt and a 24 volt drill, both are type 2. And my charger will work on both batteries . Check with the people azt home depot, they will help you for sure.

Answer:
Probably. I looked at the Black & Decker website for a picture of the battery. It looks like the ones I use. I took my battery into the Home Depot store to double check the connections. The store personnel were very helpful finding the correct one.

Answer:
The lithium batteries are too thin to connect on this charger. I have a separate charger for those. I took my battery to the Home Depot Store to double check which charger fit. If you have a store nearby you might do the same. There are several charger to choose from. The store personnel were very helpful in finding the one to meet my needs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 9.6-Volt to 24-Volt Battery Charger Like most of these type drill sets, something is going to stop working a year or two in. Well my charger, (24 volt system) stopped working, all of a sudden, one day! I looked around at one of my local hardware stores and at Walmart. All I could find were 18 volt chargers. I checked online with "Home Depot" and there it was (in my local area too). I ordered it online and my local "Home Depot" pulled it for me within an hour of my order. So far, the charger has done an excellent job! The flashing light means it's charging. The solid light means the battery is fully charged and ready for use. Get you one of these, before they're gone for good!! June 24, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not for Lithium Batteries I asked the sales clerk if this charger would work with lithium batteries and it doesn't. The ports are a different size. December 8, 2015
