Can this station inflate RV tires at 110 psi?

Asked by: JVCT
I would use ONLY for topping off, but 110 is doable, probably would take a few minutes - not like a gas station air pump, for sure.

how can I air auto tires

When the air station is plugged in, with the clamp thing flipped down, air does seem to go in. However, having to wrestle it off leads to air leaking out again. My car suddenly showed the low pressure icon, so (based on the warning in the owner's manual) I felt I had better not drive anyplace. (it was very cold outside, and I was away from home). Temp is now in upper 30's and it should be possible for it to be filled. (I think)

Plug in cord, , set psi needed in tires, attach to tire valve and turn it on. It will shut off automatically when proper air is reached.

Asked by: Cubfan

I owned one for many years and it worked well for high pressure bike tires, topping off car tires and sports balls. Setable pressure gauge with automatic shut off is pretty accurate (use a very inexpensive presta adapter for bike tires). Does not inflate overly fast for a bike tire. Lots of 12v wire for plugging in car outlets. Caveat: MAJOR design flaw - fuse replacement. Should be simple but it's very complex (see others' comments). 120v died after a few years but 12v continued several more. Minor design flaw: location of off/on switch. Can't find a suitable replacement so will probably buy another despite MAJOR design flaw.

AC cord is short, but even if it were the standard 6' you would almost certainly need an extension cord to reach the car from the nearest AC outlet. Furthermore, I don't think a 6 foot cord would fit in the available storage space. This is in any case not a problem. The unit looks good, is small and light enough to fit in the trunk and carry about easily, and it works as advertised. It's probably the best buy for the money anywhere.

Had this for 10 years so far but recently the valve clamp would no longer hold onto the tire stem forcing me to now hold it in place. Also, it started to overheat (just stopped running until it cooled back down) when trying to top up 4 auto tires about 10 pounds each in the Texas heat so I now use it for shorter periods as it has a relatively small compressor. Still works fine no damage. That said, I will now buy another because it has worked so well other than those issues. Love the auto shutoff, storage compartment, overall appearance and accessories.12V works great away from a power outlet using my car socket. The fill line should be about a foot longer for those times when the stem is at the top of the wheel which then puts strain on the 90 degree-angled clamp. Power selector switch should be locate on top and have to fumble for it, but I just live with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dissapointed This was purchased to replace a air station I have has for 30 Years. It arrived in a box that was beat up and was clearly a returned item. The AC power cord is too short. Poor design places the power switch in a difficult place to reach. I like the lighted pressure gauge and that it can be set to shut off at a preset value. Both the AC and DC power sources worked equaly well. I will keep it in the trunk.

I have a Husky portable inflator that I have used for three years because of the auto shutoff feature. The valve seal lever has fallen off and I have noticed that there was air leaking while inflating, slowing the inflation time. I thought the Air Station would be better than buying another Husky. My one word review is Meh. Not better than the Husky, just newer.

The on/off and voltage select switch is in the worst possible location. A big plus is the auto shutoff feature when it reaches the pressure you set it at. I have had it for a few months and have used it on house voltage and car voltage, both work fine.

This is a must for the homeowner who does Most of his own work around the house. I really need it for the wheelbarrow, and to check My car tires and keep them inflated. Saves me a trip to the dealers for air. Love it!

The air station does a fairly good job, inflates snow blower tires and riding lawn mower tires excellent. But what I mainly wanted to use it for was auto tires and it is only fair in that use. the pressure really isn't very strong for automobile tires. Thanks
