Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great iron I've used this iron for over a year now and it's still in perfect shape, it's very light and easy to use. The retractable cord is very convenient. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Was good, until it died Had this iron for a couple of months. Worked pretty well until the other day - the light comes on but the plate doesn't heat up. Should have looked at the other reviews here warning to stay away. June 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great features with lots of heat! I've had this iron for over a year. Now, I have burned on starch, I guess, that I can't get off with any type of product. On all of my other irons I was able to get it off by dragging the plate on the edge of the ironing board while hot. Now, this plate is no,longer flat. The edges go up & I can't get the burned part on the edge of the ironing board to clean it off because it is not flat. I hate to have to buy another iron because the stuck stuff keeps coming off on my clothes. Not sure what to do at this point. April 1, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 6 months I bought this iron about 6 months ago and it is dead already. The iron will not heat up or turn on. April 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible steam control I bought this iron a year ago to replace an old Black and Decker that had served me well for a long time. On the old iron you could manually turn the steam on or off. With the steam on it would create a nice even flow of steam. The new iron is incredibly frustrating to use. I believe the box advertised it as having smart steam. It does not. You could not make the steam on this thing worse if you tried. In fact, the only way I can imagine the steam being this bad is if Black and Decker hired the world's best and foremost steam engineers to calculate the proper amount of steam and then did exactly the opposite. Here's how it goes: I fill up the reservoir and turn on the iron. A minute later it begins to steam just sitting on my ironing board so I begin to press a shirt. Front panel - good steam. Flip to the back and halfway through ironing the steam is just pouring out. So much steam that little drops of water are splattering on the fabric. Slide to a new section and the steam cuts off completely. No steam. I sit and wait for 20-30 seconds and it starts steaming again. Maybe it's a lot of steam, maybe a little, no way to know. Aha! you're thinking that maybe the steam cooled it down too much and now you need to wait for more heat? Nope. If you hit the manual puff-of-steam button you get steam all day. That's right folks, the iron decides how much steam you get and it's a little drunk. Do you want to iron on a patch or anything else that requires high heat and no steam? You get to open up the fill spout and try to shake all the water out. You see, the heat and steam control is one knob. You can't have one without the other. I'm going to throw it away and buy something else. I will not give it away because there is no one I hate that much. April 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can't dry iron with this I was given this as a gift and absolutely hate using it. You can't turn the temp on max without having the steam on full too and there is no option to turn the steam off. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] March 19, 2016
