Customer Questions & Answers

Anyone use this for bending acrylic tubing? How well does it actually set up?

Not trying to use this for anything, but bending tubes on a desk for a custom watercooling loop. Want to know if its stand actually works for this purpose.

Looking for a heat gun for crafting. The ones in crafts stores all melt. Think this will work on powder embossing?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Paint Removal I'm a first-time heat gun user, but based on my research and experience, it seems the value is great for the price. I'm a hobbyist and use the HG1300 to remove paint from my crafts projects, mostly made of wood — very satisfied. The HG1300 heats up fast and does a quick job of loosening the paint. At 1,000 degrees, however, something started smoking. I'm not sure if it was the unit itself or paint chips that had somehow flown into the unit — or it could have simply been that I was blasting heat for too long of a stretch — but I decided not to investigate further, especially since 750 degrees served my purposes just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what we were looking for! This was a Christmas gift my boyfriend requested. He researched several sites and determined that Black & Decker heat gun was exactly what he wanted for the home repair and automotive projects he has on his list. I did my own research and determined that Home Depot had the best price and a solid return policy if necessary. I was pleased at how easy online ordering was and how quickly the item arrived. Excellent product, price, and service!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from easy to use Light weight for my small hand but does not do a quick fast removal of stain/paint as I thought it would. But will continue to use.
