Grill and Waffle Baker-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from DANGEROUS AND CLUMBSY I received this as a much wanted gift for christmas. I am disappointed. It is clumbsy, the outside (entire silver surface) gets too hot. You can only handle it by the very small handles to open the griddle plates, and when you do, you get hit with a burst of steam to burn your face off! Also, theres no included tray or grease trap to catch the runoff from the waffle mix, egg, bacon, etc so it runs out the channels that are conveniently placed in the corner, onto your counter or floor. Im very saddened about this. All of my othet black and decker products are wery wrll planned and function well. The one thing great about this, is the convenience of the plate switch to convert from waffle to griddle. Though you have to wait a ling time for them to cool off to turn over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great kitchen device ! I have had one of these for almost 40 years. We use it extensively and could not live without one. Our last one quit on me suddenly, so I was relieved to still be able to buy this one. I should have bought a couple to ensure I would have one for life !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keep Looking I think the photo says it all, but here's my experience. This product is marketed as "nonstick". We have "seasoned" per the directions, but the waffles still stick. I've added extra oil to our waffle batter, to no avail....waffles stick. We haven't gotten a waffle out of this thing yet. And when I say stick, I don't mean, like, you can just take a knife or fork and peel them off....I mean they rip and it takes a chisel to get it off. If you want to actually EAT your waffles, this is not the product for you....keep looking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black & Decker grill and waffle maker Ordered this item a few weeks ago and received it on time and packaged well. Opened it up, read the instructions. Cared for it as noted on the directions. Seasoned it on both sides. Made 3 sets of wonderful waffles, the next day, without any problems. No sticking, no burning, just wonderful waffles. The floating head sat gently upon the batter after I set the temperature I wanted (pre heating) and poured my batter in. (Bisquick instructions were used) There was extra batter left at the last pour so I poured it all in causing it to overflow. The waffle came out great and the leftover batter that oozed out went everywhere. No problem. After it cooled, it was easy to clean. Good quality, sturdy appliance. I sat and ate 2 of the 3 sets of waffles with hot cocoa just like a kid and saved the last set in the freezer for another day. This is a great product. I know I will be using it for other meals as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from black and decker waffle maker I would highly recommend this waffle iron to anyone and everyone. It's large enough make 4 huge waffles or you can just put in a smaller amount of batter for not so huge ones. From the very first try the waffles came out perfect. Read the directions first and you can get a feel when to open up the lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great for waffle making and made a great grilled sandwich. Was very easy to clean up because of the removable grates. Two thumbs up for this waffle baker.Wish it was bigger .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheaply made. Doesn't close correctly. Has dents. Waffles do bake but don't stay hot. Folding back the top to flat position can catch the spring cord between the plates. Plates don't clip in securely and evenly. They are nonstick coated so food removes easily. Not like my old one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black and Decker Waffle Iron G48TD This is the only waffle iron I would ever own. It heats evenly, it's easy to clean, makes large waffles and it makes decent paninis. This product usually lasts 8-10 years for me and I make waffles almost every weekend. Waffles will not stick as long as you preheat sufficiently. I don't clean it or oil it between uses because I find that cleaning makes the waffles stick and oiling prevents the batter from adhering to the top plate thus making imperfect waffles. Let the nonstick coating do its job!
