I have owned this food processor for more than a year. It works great. I have used it to shred and slice. The only thing I would like is if I could but different blades or attachments to be able to do more with it. It is a little loud but no worse then most blenders and Its not like you be running it for long periods of time. The longest I have run it was to make almond butter, which it did without a problem.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Justaguy Good Value For The Price
By weight you might assume that the product is cheaply made. Probably is but that does not mean it is junk. I have found this to be a great value when compared to other processors with comparable features and size. I also own a Quisinart that cost about 3 times the price of this product. Both have basically identical features and functionality. I won't be getting rid of my Quisinart but I can say that, for a home user, I fully expect that this product will last at least as long as some others found at a much greater price. Can't speak to longevity with precise confidence because I have not owned it long but I can say that I am pleased so far.

I received this product as a gift and did not have a chance to use for a few months. Today I took it out of the box, put it together making sure that all parts were locked in correctly, hit the power button and nothing. Will not work at all.

I don't recommend it! For that price, you get a brittle plastic!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed1000 Won't chop carrots - going back to store!!!
I received this food processor for Christmas and tried to chop of vegetables for my stuffing. It took a long time for it to chop of the vegetables but the carrots wouldn't not chop. I kept processing trying to chop the carrots but my other vegetable just turned to a puree because the carrots wouldn't process. I ended up having to pick chunks of carrot out by hand. My daughter got this for me because the bowl on my old Black & Decker has a crack in the bottom where it locks in place. I will use it till I can

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sage's Brunch House As a professional Chef I do recommend.
The Power Pro is really powerful. It tends to it's task very fast, and it is easy to use. This engine will never weaar out or overtire.
For professional use, the plastic is a bit fragile, as in, the rim on the bowl from being hit with the commercial spatula has sufferd some chips but still works good. The insert to the handle from continuous commerscial washing has to be adjusted after every wash but not big deal really. For home use it will not even need to be done often. I am actaually on this site to find a new bowl. I will not look for another food processor because this one is so powerful and fast.
For small pro-kitchen or home use it is great and will last forever.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sooba Can't buy replacment parts.
The small piece of plastic that is attached to the metal cutting disc broke. We only ever used the processor once in a while and never put large amounts of strain on the machine but the part that broke was plastic when it should have been made with a better material. Would not be as big of an issue if we could replace the part but that is not an option and without it the assembly will not go together properly.

I've gone through my fair share of food processors over the last 25 years. All have the locking lid that you must slide into place for the motor to work. This model predictably has that -- plus ANOTHER weird multi-part locking lid on the feed chute. Slow and frustrating. AND the feed chute locking piece broke off the third time I used it...rendering the machine useless.
The motor was zippy and the chopping blade made short work of grinding almonds. On the other hand, the poorly designed feed chute, when combined with the slice/shred disc, destroyed a Granny Smith apple and left half of it stuck to the plastic workbowl cover.
The motor is fine but the design is utterly ridiculous. And that's a lot of money to pay for 2.5 uses.
