Spacemaker Can Opener-DISCONTINUED is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I've had a B&D SpaceMaker can opener for years and it finally broke. I thought I'd replace it with the same brand. It's very cheaply made and the front cover keeps falling open. I needed it to open larger cans and it barely opens standard size ones. I would not buy again and will not recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst can opener I have ever seen. I have had a spacemaker can opener for 12 plus years and I have enjoyed it and loved it. However, I had to replace it due to a part that broke off. Needless to say, a part is no longer available nor is the same can opener. So I bought the only one available now. It is no comparison to my old one. The cut is jagged and pieces of medel shavings fall into the can of food while opening it. It was also exstremely difficult to mount. I bought not only one,but two, thinking I had just gotton a bad one, but the second one was no better than the first. Now I have two, to take back. Not Happy at all :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for all cans I'm returning this item because I have no use for it. It has a cover that hangs down and you cannot put a large can to open under due to the cover on the bottom. How are you suppose to open a can when it don't fit? The person that invented this style must not open large cans. You should express that. I have no use for it. I have a lot of LARGE cans to open. Now what?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worthless can opener This has got to be the most worthless can opener that Black and Decker makes. We have a very hard time getting it to penetrate the can, when we try to open a can with it. We have had two other openers that were made by B&D and they worked really well, like all good things they do wear out and have to be replaced , I just wish they still had the older kind that were of some value, this piece of junk has been nothing but trouble since day one. I bought it on line and don't remember from whom, otherwise I would take it back for a refund or replace it with another brand if necessary.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product is very disappointing. The cover won't close and stay shut, it is loud and I am very disappointed with it. Not up to the standards of there old product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design Very poor design. Impossible to mount on a cabinet with 3/4 overhang without drilling mounting holes in the cabinet frame. Also, seems to be cheaply made. Im sure this will not last very long. Took me an hour to figure out how to mount this bugger so it would work. As usual older model B&D's were much more substancial. Luckily I kept all the mounting hdwr from the old one or I wouldnt have been able to get it installed at all. Would not recomment this model to anyone. Takes some McGiver skills to get it installed. Might work fine on a flush mount cabinet with no overhang. Even so if you dont get it right you wont be able to remove the blade for cleaning. Im sure this review will never be posted. Funny there are no posts here, guess they are all negative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Black and Decker always makes solid products. I have the C0100B (Black) spacemaker can opener. It works well as I have come to expect from B and D products. The difference between this model and the other Spacemaker under the cabinet can opners from B and D is just the color. This unit replaced an older spacemaker so the mounting holes are located differently. If you have a flat bottom cabinet the unit will mount without problems but if there is an edging around the cabinet you will need to drop it down and bring it forward slightlly so that the opener lever can be raised all the way to remove the cutter assembly for cleaning so be aware of that when installing it. If the unit is installed with the closed door on the opener even with the front surface of the cabinet you won't be able to fully rotate the cutter lever and remove it for cleaning. Since instqallation does require some modification to accomadate cabinet ediging I was only able to rate this unit good, otherwise I would have said excellent.
