Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use this tool with the Corded Matrix Drill from Black

Asked by: Dale
I would think you could. Although its meant for the cordless one I think if both the drives on this saw and the corded drill you're referring to are the same you should be able to. But I'd ask B&D just to be sure.

Can this attachment be used with B+D Matrix BDEDMT corded drill/driver to cut a 5/8" finished ply...

Can this attachment be used with B+D Matrix BDEDMT corded drill/driver to cut a 5/8" finished plywood. I have four 4'x8' finished plywoods that are used for countertops. I need to cut them to a size of 3'x7' each. Can this handle such a project?
Asked by: Mike
I don't see why it couldn't be used with the corded drill but I would highly doubt itll make it through that depth of wood. You could try going really slow but honestly you'd be better off using a real saw on it.

Customer Reviews

Trim Saw Multi-Tool Attachment is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from meh Overall I haven't been very impressed with this little saw. To cap it off its too small for any serious projects. Even cutting up a pallet proved to be too much for it as it overheats easily and has difficulty with harder or awkwardly placed wood. If you hit a knot or rough patch in the wood, the saw also has a tendency to bounce, ricochet, or jam and stop. I think the product has good potential but needs some serious work to be an actual usable item for multiple applications. The blade I don't feel spins fast enough, it shouldn't overheat like it does and the exterior housing of the unit should be made out of more durable materials than plastic. Furthermore replacement blades for the unit are almost impossible to find (so far I've only found one at one single walmart after checking 6) and equivalent sized blades from different manufactures are either slightly too big to fit properly or too small to do anything. To me this tool feels like a prototype that needs to be made production worthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this attachment I do a lot of projects around my house and have found this to be very helpful, it beats having to get out the regular circular saw for just simple cuts, I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent accessory tool for cuts 1" or less I bought this shortly after my purchase of the 20v B&D matrix drill/driver unit. After using it for a fence project, I was very pleased with its performance. It cuts quickly with plenty of power. One thing I would have liked to see is an adjustable depth of cut. As it is, the Exact measurement from the bottom of the guard plate to the tip of the bottom-most tooth is 7/8" so not quite a full inch, but boards that measure 1" x whatever are milled so they are not even 1" thick anyway. I discovered that you CAN still cut a 2" x whatever with this attachment. I cut a 2" x 4" by accurately measuring the cut on both sides, so I. It cut half the board on one side, flipped it over, and cut through the other side just fine. It didn't even sound different when the blade was sunk deep in the 2" x 4"
