A clamping vise could be attached. The decks are removable so you could bolted to the center deck clamp.

Answer:
A metal working vise? An idea would be to mount the vise to another panel (or slab) of wood to which another piece, such as a 2"x2" was attached on the bottom so as to allow it to clamp it into the workmate. Good place for such a vise is at a corner. An auxiliary top such as that is what this needs for that purpose.

The Workmate 425 comes with 4 swivel pegs, bench dogs, and I recommend that you purchase more if you will be using the bench more than infrequently.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Eh! Underwhelmed by the product. Drive belt used to have both adjusters work in tandem is poorly engineered. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A second set of hands I am for ever working alone on projects and find I always need another set of hands. The B&D 425 project center has allowed me to work faster and complete the majority of my projects without the help of someone else needed to hold things while I work on them. I have wanted and needed a work center for many years and finally decided to purchase the work center and am very happy I did. The quality of workmanship is far superior than I had anticipated. A very heavy duty piece of equipment and would recommend this product to anyone who finds themselves needing a second set of hands. August 2, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Flimsy This is not half the quality of the workmate I bought almost 30 years ago. I am very disappointed. My old workmate had premium wood clamp decks bolts into steel. I pounded on it, stood on it, through sheet of 3/4 inch plywood on it. In short I worked it hard. It was the best tool I ever bought. I bought this unit online because I could not find it in a store. I would have never bought it had I had a chance to look at it. There are a lot of plastic parts. The deck bolts into plastic and will not tighten up. The deck clamps are cheap plywood. The deck clamp got scratched up during assembly just setting on the frame. The assemble instructions are hard to follow. I will keep it as I need it right now to complete the current job, but I will look for a different brand when the job is done. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy Works great, one handed clamping and vertical vise is awesome and works perfect August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome table for any project Really nice and sturdy. So easy to fold up and store August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My work mate I have used it several times and it is all that I hoped for. the only negative is that the assembly instructions are not clear on placing the top sections into place. they need to be inserted into the frame and then slid backwards because the center and rear piece are removable. this is not clear I watched a U-tube video that was done for the purpose of showing you how to assemble it and that is how I figured it out. Otherwise it is a great purchase. July 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Workmate 425 The only problem was the instructions for setup....terrible...had to go online to some videos to figure this out properly! July 19, 2016
