height

what is the height of this sawhorse? i need a saw horse 27" high.
Asked by: mvp1
It's 30" tall, but you can make saw horses out of 2X4's cut to the height you need. You can either Google how to make saw horses or go on plntrust and search. Either way you get plans or ideas of how to make them.

Would this be strong enough to handle working on a wooden door? I need to sand down and paint a door.

Asked by: MN
i think it could handle a light-weight door and if your using an electric sander/not doing it manually with a lot of "elbow-grease, dont think it would be stable enough for that.

Workmate Sawhorse and Vise is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 107.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Essential DIY Assistant Saw this sawhorse used on an HGTV episode used for holding a furniture piece for painting. I ordered from Home Depot and now it is my "must have" equipment for my DIY projects. I had to replace the pegs on the adjustment crank handles with screws and wing nuts to hold them in place. The pegs will fall out if you do not secure them better. Other than that, it was easy to assemble and seems to be fairly sturdy. I would not recommend for heavy duty, construction worksite work, but is fine for small home projects.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lighweight sawhorse Works fine for a sawhorse/workmate combo for occasional jobs, but too lightly built for any long-term use. Sad quality next to my 20 year old workmate, but these also cost me much less. You get what you paid for, and this is what I expected. I bought a pair as a substitute for sawhorses on a job and they served the purpose well... for the cost. If you want a real workmate, buy a good one. For what I needed, I'd buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Workmate Sawhorse & Vise I love it! It's easy to put together & is exactly what I need. Small - portable- does what it says it will. Light weight - easy to move in & out of the shed.

When my 23yr old son had assembled it for me he commented that it looked very small and what am i going to use "that" for? Im a middle-aged female and wanted one to rest & cut wood to length by myself to make a raised flower bed and also to make a new shed door, however "he" started to use it and did a craft project (holding, cutting, drilling, painting PVC pipe) and now its won him over! yes it is small but it folds up easily and can be hung on a wall cos its not heavy. Works fine for smaller household jobs and i would recommend it.

Since they no longer make the small bench mate I bought this model and left off the legs. Cut the two boards down to twelve inches long and I now own a wonderful custom Bench mate that I can use any where just like the original "Bench mate and at a great price. Can easily be converted for tilting also. Can sit or clamp on top of a regular bench mate to get the height up where it should be. Works on truck tailgate. Picnic table Maybe a laptop work surface? Uses are endless. Great product and thank you Home Depot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent product Skip the printed instructions and use YouTube instead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTB1llv3iF0 This tool is what I would describe as a "value product" you get what you pay for. Provides a decent clamp environment at a suitable work level and while the manufacturer notes that you should not load it with more than 350lbs. I would not go over 100lbs. It's just not that sturdy.

I have had one of these for over 35 years, and it still works, though I'm going to get a new one to allow for a bit more precision and ease of use. It is easy to use, easy to set up, and easy to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Workbench I found this easy to assemble. Using it is a little tricky. It's not gripping the objects really tight. But it is not bad at all.
