Is there a correct orientation for the rocks on the climbing wall? I s the thicker edge on the bottom?
Asked by: Jeanne
Based on the way the holes line up, i don't believe so. but we looked at it from the standpoint of how you would hold onto the rocks to clinb up. one side is bigger than the other.. making it easier for the kids to grab or step on. We have the thicker side up.

Can this be installed without the swing arms?

Or, can I shorten the swing arms to fit just one swing or a 360 swing? Trying to fit a more compact footprint
Asked by: Riru
I am sure you could, but then i would ensure its on a flat surface that is solid as they will be climbing on it. I think the swing area allows for more stability. We shortended the swing so they were higher for the kids as it was so low to the ground. i didn't think it took that much space once we figured out where we wanted to put it.. it recommends more space than what we have too.

Did yours come in just one long box? Ours was just delivered and I'm a little skeptical. Not sure how it all fit.

Asked by: melissa
Yes, only one box. I was very skeptical as well but it was all there. We even had extra hardware in our box.

It took 3 adults most of 1 day to assemble. 2 people assembling and 1 person staging the parts for the next step. The Grandkids love it! Heck the whole family loves it! Another reason for them to want to visit Papa!

I wish it was built with a little thicker wood so it would be more sturdy. The directions are cumbersome and frankly inaccurate in some places. My kids are enjoying it and overall I would recommend the playset.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality is lacking but does the job The quality of materials leaves a lot to be desired. Recieved the package with some split boards and drill holes that did not align. The wood is very cheap and cracks easily if you over tighten the connectors. I consider myself to be pretty handy with tools and it took me two full weekends to asemble. There is no way one person can put this together in 8 hours like the directions say. Instruction booklet can be difficult to understand at times. The playset comes with some nice features. My kid loves the rock wall. Overall it will get the job done. Just don't expect it to last a long time.

The Somerset Wooden Swing Set Model #65012 was a Christmas gift for my children and here we are four months later still dealing with issues. The swing set arrived damaged and in a treadmill box. Once we removed the treadmill box, half of the swing set box was missing. Several items were broken, dented and the slide was damaged. We finally got the items replaced and begin to put it together. Several of the pilot holes where missing or misplaced and a lot of the wood cracked if it wasn't already. Some of the screws are to long and poke out even though they are not drilled in completely. The directions are awful and not very clear, you can tell they were written by several people. This is a very cheaply made swing set and I wouldn't recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Waste of Money I purchased this swing set for my daughter due the decent reviews online. My wife and I spent a day putting it together and realized that it was a pure waste of money. From the CHEAP wood to the insane directions. They should include a bottle of wood glue because the wood splits worse than a old pair of pants. Whoever said it was a quality swing set must of had the company they promote to install it. In all honesty you can build a solid swing set with wolmanized wood and the hardware for a way cheaper prize. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

It does take 2 people and about 20 hours. We did it with one person and took about 24 or so hours to set up. Directions were decent, except that we had to take it apart a few times due to boards being backwards or up side down or something related to that. so not very clear that way. The kids haven't played much due to rain but looks good in the yard and they are looking forward to playing on it. More for younger kids than older kids.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute It was very overwhelming to build this because it has a lot of pieces. The boards are very thin and we ended up with a couple of boards that split a bit. The instructions are not very clear so you need to pay attention. The slide apparently according to the instructions does not attach with a screw or bolt so I just used a screw to hold it down. The slide should be one entire piece but unfortunately its like 4 pieces which has to be assembled. Good Luck when you buy one.

It gets one star knocked off for the difficulty in constructing it. It's literally a pile of wood that's delivered and can be overwhelming at times to following the 20+ steps. Took about 12 hours to put together. Kids ages 5.5 and 2.5 absolutely love it, though, so it was worth the hassle!
