Answer:
The 1" Diameter Bamboo 6' x 8" was heavy. Very hard to drag boxes to Installation area. Two people would make it easier to move around and install.

Answer:
This fencing can be used as a stand-alone fence but it is not as sturdy as some other fences so it would be recommended to use it with an already existing fence.

Answer:
You need to fasten the fence with a galvanized wire, so if you can wrap the wire around the vinyl fence, you could, but the wire may be noticeable on one side. What you fasten it to, should be sturdy and strong as the bamboo may be "pulling" on it if you will. The wire is not very noticeable on the bamboo side.

Could this be zip tied to tall tree metal stakes which are securely pounded into the ground?

I'm looking for an inexpensive fence to install which will keep a neighbors dog out of my yard. This dog has attacked my two pups 4 times now in my own yard because the owners can't keep him on his leash. I'm hoping to move but in the meantime am looking for something to install that will protect us. I have a lot of tall metal tree stakes which are extremely sturdy. I'm wondering if this would work to pound these tree stakes into the ground every six feet or so and zip tie this bamboo fencing to these tree stakes.

We used zip ties to attach to existing fence. Poles may not be enough to unless spaced 2 feet or so apart.

Answer:
Depending on how tall the tree stakes are the bamboo is pretty sturdy itself but the weight and length of the fence is what will make it fall over it does need support the stakes would need to be about as tall as the fence to keep it up right and I would say a stake every 3-5 feet to make it sturdy to stand up but would not recommend anyone leaning on it

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 125 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by moldy mess We purchased 8 rolls to attach to a chain link fence. It was easy to install and looked great at first. We followed the directions for cleaning and sealing it. 2 months later, it is covered with black mold. I was told that this happens if the bamboo is harvested too soon. So, in spite of the company's web site saying they use quality bamboo, they apparantly dont. June 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Affordable Option I needed to cover an ugly cyclone fence along the back section of the yard and this was the best affordable option! I sealed the bamboo rolls with a water proof fence sealer and then my sons attached it to the cyclone fence with wire. It was easy to install! June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Fencing Exactly what we needed to shield nosy neighbors from looking in our yard. Sturdy, eco friendly and just a bit challenging to install. June 11, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by one year on I purchased six initially, then had to purchase another two. Quite a few pieces were questionable whether they were 1" or not. A couple pieces were split. I pre-treated mine with a wood water sealer. After a year some look ok, some have turned black, some have lost their original color (the second set of two that I bought). Mine is in full mid morning to mid afternoon sun, so it shouldn't be getting moldy (black). I used a roller on a long stick to put the wood sealer on with each one laying flat on the ground. The sealer did not get around the bamboo good enough so I had to put extra on, making somewhat of a mess. It may have been better to spray it on. March 22, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed After I bought these I stored them in my basement for a year. It's dry basement. When I unrolled them about 1/3 of them had split and I tossed them out. Large splits, not little cracks. OK I still had enough for my project. I sealed them and they went up OK. After 1 year many were black and moldy. There might be some climate where these splitting/mold issues don't happen (like China) but I wouldn't buy them twice. April 18, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product and fair price. This bamboo fence was just what I was looking for. Product plus free shipping at Home Depot was cheaper than just the shipping at another site I was looking at. Good value. June 9, 2015
