Using plastic ties, I attached this to a chain link fence for privacy Looks great! Seems quite well made, with heavy duty wire connecting the bamboo together. The spacing is pretty good, with maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch gaps between some of the bamboo, which is the spacing we wanted. I've only had them up for a month, so I can't attest to the longeivity, but it looks promising. Very attractive fence now

I purchased 4 rolls of fencing. The color varied from roll to roll. There were also some imperfections with the metal cable that held them together. (ex. The cable did not go thru the bamboo stalk but missed and was exposed. ) Some of the stalks were bent and not as straight as they could have been.

We purchased this to put up against ~ half of our existing fence on our apartment porch to add some privacy. Initially, I was concerned that it would block too much light but it doesn't! We finished it with a warm, golden color and it seems to enhance the lighting rather than diminish it and it gives the entire porch a more outdoors-y feel, especially when paired with plants. We fastened it to our porch fence with zip ties. We are now enjoying our moments on our porch- in privacy and in warm glow of bamboo in sunset.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moab302 Excellent quality building material
We used to buy our bamboo from Cali Bamboo directly. It was much more expensive than Home Depot and they didn't offer a freight program. Home Depot's material comes from Cali Bamboo in the end, at a better price and freight paid on $250 orders. Yay!
We had to go elsewhere for the redwood, as Home Depot no longer carries it in my area.

I purchased this bamboo because it looks well made and I felt it would last longer than the reed fencing. It took 2 adults to left and secure the fence. We used zip ties to attach the fence around our pool. I rate the fence at 3 stars because it is not protected from UV rays and funguses. I purchased outdoor water sealant that proclaims to protect from uv damage and funguses. The spray application just ended up beading up on the fence. So we used paper towels to spread the sealant. The fence did come with some dark spots and gaps in between which is ok with us. I just want the fence to last years and not one season. The fence has been up a couple of weeks.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dezzy Balcony looks so much better
We bought 3 bundles to be able to cover our not so private balcony. We had our order shipped to our home & everything was in good shape. It was very easy to install...we bought zip ties, unwrapped the packaging & zip tied every other stick to the existing rail on our balcony. It took no more than about 20 minutes for my husband & I to put up our bamboo fencing. It really gave it that privacy effect we needed while lounging out on the balcony during the day/evening; we highly recommend this product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pat5208 Very rustic and inconsistent color.
This fence is made up of bamboo poles tied together, the length, with three pieces of wire. The only way to secure it to your frame is by screwing it in. Bamboo is hollow. If you screw in too tightly you will split the bamboo which is undesirable. You must pre-drill each hole before screwing it in and don't screw in too far. Use tan colored decking screws, at least 2" long, so you can attempt to hide the fact that you had to use screws in the first place. I bought two rolls of natural bamboo fencing, each 8 feet long. The first roll was nice looking with hints of brown and green highlights. The second roll was plain colored bamboo. The color distinction is evident. Otherwise a nice product.
