I had to get new doorknobs for my front and back doors because they were in seriously bad conditions--to the point where they would lock by themselves and we would get locked out of the house. I went to Home Depot to get new ones and this model was one of the few doorknobs that I would feel safe using for my front and back doors. Most of the other ones were cheaper. Never skimp on a door knob that keeps you and your property safe...
They are a very solid/heavy piece of hardware that comes with simple instructions and are very easy to install. All you need is a screwdriver. The only problem I had was getting the strike plate adjusted correctly so the door would close. I never had to install a new doorknob before but I am under the impression that this has to be done with all new doorknobs.
The one con I have is that the interior and exterior knobs seem a tiny bit loose. I tightened the knobs as much as I could in the installation process but they still seem to jiggle a little bit.

My previous Baldwin knobs have been great. I wanted to try one with the Smart Key feature so that it would be easier to change the locks. The button to lock the door works ok on one knob, but binds up on the other. I exchanged them once, but may need to again. Seems to be related to how the knob fits over the locking mechanism since it works without the door knob on it.

This knob set looks great on our back door. We paired it with the double cylinder deadbolt for extra security. The only con would be that the key has to be inserted in the opposite direction from the deadbolt necessitating turning the key over to operate the other lock. Not impossible, but a hassle to have to do.

We built our house 13 years ago. Although the original front door knob assembly was still functional, there was noticeable play in the mechanism and the "brass" plated exterior was badly deteriorated and did not respond to attempts to polish it. The new knob had a somewhat different assembly procedure than the many lower quality knobs I'd installed over the years. It works very smoothly and the brass finish is guaranteed to maintain its appearance. An unexpected bonus is that the new knob has a very "solid" feel when you grasp it. Two different visitors have remarked about its quality, appearance, and solid feel. I never expected compliments on a plain brass door knob!

Quality product that's built to last. It's easy to install (replacement lock) and has a great feel in every feature. I highly recommend this entry lock.

Baldwin makes a superior product. I am very pleased with the quality of the product. The door knob is very stylish and adds a touch of class to my home. I would recommend it to all of my friends and family. It would be nice if I could purchase this item in the store. The first product I purchased was in the store. That is how I found out about the Baldwin brand. I compared it to other brands in the store. The store associate advised me that the Baldwin brand was of better quality than the others on the self. Had I not been introduced to your product by my store purchase I would not have learned about your product. I was so pleased with my first purchase that when I had to buy another door knob I wanted to buy a Baldwin brand. I was disappointed when I went back to the same Home Depot store and the supply of Baldwin door knobs was limited. Therefore I ordered it on-line, which was also convenient.

Just locked myself out of the house while in the garage. Drilled out and removed the old knob, grabbed my keys and went to Home Depot. Picked up this set and had the new knob installed in 20 minutes. Door knob set is significantly more substantial than the one it replaced. The locksmith wanted $130 dollars to unlock my door and I would need to wait three hours. Fixed my problem for around $50 dollars and under an hour of my time.
