If they fit in your bathtub soak vinyl blinds in warm/hot water with a good liquid dish detergent, then lightly scrub with a brush and rinse.

WHAT SIZE DO I ORDER FOR A 58 1/8" WIDE OPENING?

MY OPENING IS 58 1/8" WIDE. DO I ORDER A 58" OR A 58 1/2"? WILL THE HEADRAIL AND BOTTOM RAIL BE CUT SMALLER TO FIT OR JUST THE SLATS? WHAT WILL THE FINISHED SIZE BE FOR THE 58"?
Asked by: JACK
58 inches should suffice, considering the windows normally have a frame and the blind would fit perfectly with a nice overlap with the frame.

If I order 35" width...is that the actual measurement?

My window is precisely 35 1/8 wide and 22.5 long. When I order 35"...is it smaller to allow for clearance to fit or is it exactly 35". Is there a way to remove some of the blinds to fit the short length?
Asked by: Anonymous
35" blinds are actually 34 1/2" wide. Yes, you can remove some of the slats to make a blind shorter. Ity's not that difficult, just take your time.

Absolutely fantastic blinds because you can get them in any width (even easily shorten them yourself), they're well made and durable, the white color is a matte finish so it diffuses the room light (meaning: in a blue room they reflect a slight blue tint, in a yellow room, a yellow tint) so they magically match any color decor, remarkably easy to install, easy to clean and the price is extremely affordable. They're not expensive so they can be a temporary covering until you save up for and decide on the perfect cellular or wood shades and simple enough to blend into almost any decor for a permanent use.

Took well over an hour to get blind header into bracket. Damaged thumb trying to unsuccessfully insert the second blind into brackets. Please change design so the header isn't snapped into place. Fit is too temperamental. Will have to buy a third blind because the lip where the bracket is supposed to hook pulled out of shape trying to get the back side pushed in.

The turning mechanism for opening the blinds worked for about two weeks then stopped. I took them back to the store and they exchanged for another set. I installed them and the same thing happened. The mechanism may work for shorter blinds, but for 70 inches, it is way to flimsy and quickly stopped turning.

We have installed many, many blinds over the years and the included brackets were impossible to use with the head rail. Fortunately, we had the old set from the blinds we were replacing and were able to use those. Also, one of the cords came out of the condenser the first time we pulled on it. We have them installed but doubt that they'll last.

We ordered a custom size vinyl motorized room-darkening remote controlled blind. We received it on time and installed it without any complications but the remote would not work. I called Home Depot and the saleslady who had worked with us to order it immediately got in touch with the manufacturer. She gave me the instructions to call them. After reaching them they walked me right through reprogramming the remote. It worked the first time! I am very pleased with the blinds and with Home Depot for their prompt service. I would definitely order through them again. ( I tried to attach a video of the blinds working but apparently the image didn't coincide with what was approved for downloading).

You might get a couple months use out of them before the mechanism to raise and lower the blinds begins to fail. They also do not raise straight up and down when the blinds are tilted to anything other than vertical; instead they start to curl under or curl out and are very hard to raise and lower. The pull at the bottom of the string is very cheap little plastic knob that snaps into place and breaks just as quickly. If you never want to raise and lower the curtains, only tilt them, you might get a few more months out of them. I knew what I was getting into, so cannot complain, but these are a short term solution only.
