This is a good quality shade that operates very smoothly and looks beautiful on my windows. There are 2 issues; however, but they can be easily overcome. 1. A standard vinyl roller shade when cut tip-to-tip (the inside dimensions of a window) is cut 1" shorter than the inside dimensions to accommodate the side brackets. Ex: if inside window dimension is 25", the resulting cut shade will measure 24". If a standard roller shade cutter is used employing standard cuts, it will result in a shade width that is too wide. To accommodate the brackets & mechanism for this particular shade another 3/8" has to be added to the cut. Ex: if inside window dimension is 25", the resulting cut shade will measure 23 5/8". 2. The chain may be too long for some windows and although the instructions included in the packaging doesn't discuss chain length, the length can be shortened. You need to examine the bead chain connector on the chain. There are a few different styles of bead chain connectors for plastic chains. The one on the shades that I bought, the cover of the connector slides over the beads. (Note: Some bead chains connectors snap over the beads.) I found it easiest to slide the covering off by using pliers. It did not require any force, but I found it difficult to do with my fingers. Once slid off, there are 2 beads resting in a pod. Remove them from the pod, cut to length you want, place back in pod and slide cover over pod. By the way, the chain can be mounted on either side of the shade.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Thannie Not worth the money
We did not want to go top of the line in a bathroom where the last shade got moldy - so we figured $45 was more than enough. It looked nice, but that's where it ended. First, the store cut it wrong at least 3 times and we had to keep returning. The last time we just cut it ourselves and hung it. We should have just returned it and got our money back, but after all the effort and long trips, we kept it. Well it does not really clear the sides so we leave it mostly up. And we know the plastic cord is not going to last. If you want something sturdy - that you can open and close every day, this is not the shade for you. Have something custom made.

I contemplated getting one of those custom order expensive ($255+) cellular shades, then saw this in home depot and i thought these would be perfect for my living room. it has a nice natural woven feel and comes with a privacy backing. the shade is more than room darkening with good privacy.
I'm very happy with the purchase, let's see if they last (it s going to get a lot of sun)

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sensorguy did a good job at fighting glare
I needed something to block or reduce the sun coming in over the top of my monitors. This did not entirely block the sun (I knew it wouldn't); it did block enough of the glare to allow seeing the screens and allow me to enjoy the view outside.

Was looking for blinds but didn't want to compromise on the view through the windows. Decided to go with these rollers, results were great.

Really nice option to regular pull down shade. Look nice, fresh and modern. Appreciate the value for the price. Home Depot has been my go-to store for window coverings.
