I have three of these blinds in my workshop. This blind is a replacement for one used for a full glass pane on a patio door. The door gets full afternoon sun in semi-tropical Florida. The previous blind lasted approximately 8 years before the internal plastic parts deteriorated from excessive heat exposure and failed. Two other blinds of the same age not facing full sun are doing fine. I am very satisfied with the price/performance of these blinds as evidenced by the fact that I purchased the same brand and model as the replacement.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by inskeeper Good blind but has a mounting issue
I have installed at least a dozen of these blinds. They have a metal bracket that hold the blind and I do prefer these metal bracket to the the plastic cube end holders that come with other brands. The metal bracket has a small hook that goes into the folded edge of the top of the blind rail and a tab that goes on the bottom. They are easy to attach to the window frame or to a door. However, there 2 problems. First, when mounting the bracket to the top of window frame, it is sometimes very difficult to engage the hook because you have to put the blind rail between the window frame and the hook. If anything is crooked between the 2 brackets you are going to have a bad time - on a ladder too. The second problem is that you really cannot adjust the length by setting the brackets lower. So if you get a 72 inch blind but the window is 73 inches tall, you can't install these brackets an inch from the top to close the gap at the bottom. To do this, you would need to put in an inch thick spacer. The blinds with the plastic cube shaped end holders can be installed lower on window frames without using spacers but they have the problem that you need to cut the width more accurately or you will be too long or short to get between your plastic brackets on an inside the frame installation. These blinds with the metal brackets are quite forgiving on the width. So if your window frame is 28 inches but the window glass is 26, you can get away with a 27 inch wide blind and just move it back and forth in the brackets (about 1 inch of wiggle room) to get the glass covered.

Needed to replace broken blinds, and it was a snap, literally, to do. I like these brackets so much more than others, clean look, no valance needed. They finish the room, helps cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The order came in no time to my door, with free shipping.

They work but do not block sun. They are basic and could be better.

The product itself is great, but the instillation was a little tricky at first.
