Installed outside window. Used former - other brand - attachments - imagine C Shaped end clamps = top / side / bottom / far side (side attached to wall). Bali replacement blinds fit C brackets already there. Tension holds the blinds in the "C"clamps. Didn't like the metal hook and push clamps. Went to a Home Depot store to see attaching blinds to metal clamps. Very hard to remove blinds from metal clamps. End C clamps I have in use make removing the binds just a slight nudge of force. Otherwise, drawstrings are different. Get used to them. Quality of the blinds is excellent. Look good. Great price. BTW fig 8 / install - shows a sideways / sectional view of hooking in the lip of the blinds then pushing in the bottom w/ metal clamps.

I will mention be sure to remove the header pieces that are apparently installed from MFG so to assist the cutting to size process because I have no idea otherwise what there pieces are installed for. You will not be able to install them with out removing each piece. The blinds are the answer for my situation and I like to sleep in in AM and stay up late and so the room darkening shades are the answer for me. I have them in all bedrooms now and regular (non-darkening) in kitchen, living room and both bathrooms. I find them easy to install and very functional and I find the no strings attached (play of words) wonderful and looks classy. They function smooth and without problems or issues every time. I have a triple double hung set of windows in living room and they are ganged and cut to size and look elegant no matter closed or opened, from outside or inside. Add to the face they are also "R" valued and keep cold out or help and also helps keep house cool in summer with A/C operating.

For the cost, I expected these to filter a lot more light than they do. I couldn't see a difference in light levels between a room with the "room darkening" blinds, and a separate room where I put up the "light filtering" blinds. Save yourself a few bucks and buy the cheap ones.

Very nice blinds, easy install. I ordered the alabaster, and I'm very happy with this off-white color. I already had screw holes because of replacing old blinds, and due to the positioning of the wand mechanism, using my original screw holes prevented me from positioning the head rail of these blinds a tad this way or that. Be careful where you drill your screw holes - keep in mind you can't mount the head rail just anywhere on the brackets because of the wand mechanism's position on the head rail.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NJAngusFarmer Good, inexpensive mini blinds
These blinds are 'cut-to-size'. The end cuts are a bit ragged, but not noticeable once they are hung up (inside mount). The associate recommended vinyl over metal, since they are primarily to help keep a room cool that gets morning sun; appreciated the guidance. I didn't try shortening the blinds, although they provide instructions. The price is good; considerably less than Blinds To Go, for example. The controls interfere a bit with the top one or two slats, but not terribly.
