I purchased 3 new blinds at your store yesterday and the sales associate told me that you could just slide the new ones in. Any advice or instructions would be appreciated. Thank you, Deirdre

Answer:
Not usually, The old fittings are usually large enough that a similarly sized replacement blind snaps right into place without new hardware or modifications.

There would be no need to replace he mounting unless they are no longer secure. Just slide out the old and in the new. But don't forget to remove the face caps from the mountings first.

Answer:
That is true providing the blinds are the same size. However, I use new mountings because old plastic mountings are often discolored, and the hard plastic from which the mountings are constructed is often brittle. It is easy to put new mounts and often can use the same holes.

If that measurement you're providing is length, the answer is yes. If that's the inside width of your window, then No, it won't fit.

Answer:
The 46 inch blind is actually 45.5 inches. The blind will be too large, but it may work depending how far you want the blind to extend. If you hang it on the wood trim and do not mind some of the blind extending a quarter inch past the window, it is OK. Naturally, you can't hang it inside the window. It is possible to trim the ends of the 46 inch about 1/4 inch on each side but that is a last resort.

Answer:
Hello: Thank you for your question. This product will come to you 1/2" narrower than the ordered width. If you order a 35", you may take it to your local Home Depot for them to cut the width down to your desired size. Please contact the Home Depot to verify that they have a cut down machine to do so.

White 1 in. Light Filtering Vinyl Mini Blind - 35 in. W x 64 in. L is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, cheap blinds for the right use Honestly sometimes I wonder how silly some people can be. Of course these will be of "inferior quality" compared to $30-40 blinds. What on earth were you expecting? Does a Big Mac taste as good as Fogo de Chao? No, but in certain circumstances it's the better choice. That's what is true about these. They are cheap blinds, roughly the same price as the paper ones that go on with a sticky end. They can be mounted in a shallow We put them in a little boy's room for a little privacy and they were fine. We'd use them in any space where being pretty was not as important as being functional. I will probably get them for 2 - 3 more rooms in our house and get something nicer for the others. I found them a little harder to install than the $40 ones we got from an online blinds company but still a one person job with the right tools (and I'm not particularly handy).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product for the Price What do you expect for the price? I needed temporary shades while remodeling and didn't want the paper shades (for same price). These install easily and if you close them properly, they keep people from seeing inside. The first night, I closed them completely, turned on the lights, and went outside to see if I could see inside. I could not see anything inside. Even though these are light filtering they still block out the glare and about 70% of the light. Great product for temporary fix and cheap price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty For Everyone One of the first things that we all need whether we live in an apartment or home are blinds for our windows. It wasn't until I realized that the curtains I placed on my windows were not keeping out the light and causing a glare on my television set did I then realize I needed something more to cover my windows. However, the economy being as it is and I myself am terminally ill and on a fixed income (social security disability) did I realize that I could get the beauty of blinds at an affordable price. That blinds were not just for the rich but that even those of us that are struggling financially could also be able to put blinds on our windows. These blinds keep the light out and as an added benefit they help keep the heat out in the summer and cold out in the winter. I am now able to watch television without the glare. So my rating is the highest possible which is a 5. If there was a higher rating I give these blinds an even higher rating for appearance, price and energy efficient helping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the price! The fact that anyone would buy $4 vinyl blinds and then complain about the quality is laughable - as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. Are these blinds top quality? No, of course they aren't! Are they perfectly functional and a good value for the price? Absolutely!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic Vinyl Blinds The blinds were as advertised and packaged well. I was installing them to replace identical damaged blinds but the hole pattern in the new brackets was different and I had to drill additional holes. Two different size screws were included but no instruction on where to use each size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from perfect price We needed something for windows in a downstairs storage area for a raised beach house that would let in light to help with dingy feel but didn't want to spend much. These were the perfect solution. The price could not be beat, like $30 for 4 windows. Very easy to install. They do sag a bit on the sides, but who cares for that price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this ! Easy to install and once you have installed the blinds, even easier to change~out to a different shade!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would recomend these all day long! I love these! I've bought them many times for different homes, and they look great. Yes, you can buy better quality, but for me ...they do the job, and allow me to spend my money on other projects. They are just great for budget minded projects. They're also great for instant privacy for a new move. 1 hint- I use dry wall screws instead of the screws that are included...much easier to drive!
