Customer Questions & Answers

When replacing these blinds, do you have to replace the original mountings?

I purchased 3 new blinds at your store yesterday and the sales associate told me that you could just slide the new ones in. Any advice or instructions would be appreciated. Thank you, Deirdre
Asked by: Anonymous
Not usually, The old fittings are usually large enough that a similarly sized replacement blind snaps right into place without new hardware or modifications.

IS THE WIDTH ACTUALLY 36" OR ARE THEY 35 3/4"

Asked by: IRA1023
We had a window that was 36" wide exactly on the interior dimensions and the mounting brackets are 36" while the blind slates are closer to 35 3/4". Still looks good however.

I am buying some Bali Today, grab-n-go mini blinds. Need to verify meansurments

I have measured from three places in the height and width. I understand I use the smallest measurement. I have a window meanuring 46 1/2 do I need to leave room for the mounting? Should I get 46?
Asked by: Anonymous
My blind was a half inch smaller than specified where where a 46 inch is actually 45.5 inch; Measured second blind, the 34 was 33.5 inches.

Can these blinds be cut to size?

Asked by: Anonymous
I would think so. There is enough room on the ends to cut if you just need a small change.

White 1 in. Light Filtering Vinyl Mini Blind - 35 in. W x 64 in. L is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for north windows Easy to install. Great size with no need to remove slats. Light filtering is great for north windows.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, cheap blinds for the right use Honestly sometimes I wonder how silly some people can be. Of course these will be of "inferior quality" compared to $30-40 blinds. What on earth were you expecting? Does a Big Mac taste as good as Fogo de Chao? No, but in certain circumstances it's the better choice. That's what is true about these. They are cheap blinds, roughly the same price as the paper ones that go on with a sticky end. They can be mounted in a shallow We put them in a little boy's room for a little privacy and they were fine. We'd use them in any space where being pretty was not as important as being functional. I will probably get them for 2 - 3 more rooms in our house and get something nicer for the others. I found them a little harder to install than the $40 ones we got from an online blinds company but still a one person job with the right tools (and I'm not particularly handy).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product for the Price What do you expect for the price? I needed temporary shades while remodeling and didn't want the paper shades (for same price). These install easily and if you close them properly, they keep people from seeing inside. The first night, I closed them completely, turned on the lights, and went outside to see if I could see inside. I could not see anything inside. Even though these are light filtering they still block out the glare and about 70% of the light. Great product for temporary fix and cheap price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty For Everyone One of the first things that we all need whether we live in an apartment or home are blinds for our windows. It wasn't until I realized that the curtains I placed on my windows were not keeping out the light and causing a glare on my television set did I then realize I needed something more to cover my windows. However, the economy being as it is and I myself am terminally ill and on a fixed income (social security disability) did I realize that I could get the beauty of blinds at an affordable price. That blinds were not just for the rich but that even those of us that are struggling financially could also be able to put blinds on our windows. These blinds keep the light out and as an added benefit they help keep the heat out in the summer and cold out in the winter. I am now able to watch television without the glare. So my rating is the highest possible which is a 5. If there was a higher rating I give these blinds an even higher rating for appearance, price and energy efficient helping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the price! The fact that anyone would buy $4 vinyl blinds and then complain about the quality is laughable - as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. Are these blinds top quality? No, of course they aren't! Are they perfectly functional and a good value for the price? Absolutely!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Anyone Can See Right Thru If it's privacy you want, don't by these mini-blinds. Maybe from the street people can't see in. But, if someone were standing in my yard a few feet from my window at night, they could see right thru these blinds. I realized when I woke up one morning that I could see the light coming through my blinds. Tonight I checked it out and I was right. People can see right through. These vinyl blinds are curved and do not shut properly to provide privacy. They should be taken off the market or it should be revealed that they are not for privacy. I am taking mine back tomorrow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic Vinyl Blinds The blinds were as advertised and packaged well. I was installing them to replace identical damaged blinds but the hole pattern in the new brackets was different and I had to drill additional holes. Two different size screws were included but no instruction on where to use each size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from perfect price We needed something for windows in a downstairs storage area for a raised beach house that would let in light to help with dingy feel but didn't want to spend much. These were the perfect solution. The price could not be beat, like $30 for 4 windows. Very easy to install. They do sag a bit on the sides, but who cares for that price!
