CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price, Does the Job Having just hung 12 of these blinds (23" x 64") I can say with some confidence that they fit the bill for decent, economy-priced window coverings. They were cut-down to size in the Home Depot cleanly and accurately. Although the aluminum is almost paper thin and the overall feel is somewhat flimsy, none of the blinds suffered creases in any slats nor other damage during installation. Once hung they look decent and seem functional enough; although for long-term durability I certainly feel that they will need to be operated with a modicum of care. The rap about the mounting hardware is probably due more to the lack of good instructions provided and/or understanding by the installers. The metal brackets are designed to hold by being flexed somewhat then locking back into place within grooves/edges on the blind-header. Once in place they hold the blinds very securely. After the brackets have been screwed to the window frame, it is best to tilt the top edge of the header inward towards the window, seat both ends over the top prongs of the brackets, and with the top edge thus secured rotate the bottom edge of the header into the lower bracket prongs. This part requires the lower prongs to be flexed down a bit (and the upper prongs flexed up a bit) until they snap into a groove in the lower edge of the header. This is a lot easier to do then describe. Mounting this way is not as simple as the vinyl type of blinds where the header just slides into the bracket and a stop is inserted to hold it in, but it does lock the blinds securely in place without any play at all. When mounting try to get yourself up to a height level with or above the header brackets. February 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Don't plan on removing the orange safety sticker. The orange safety sticker on the bottom is meant to stay on and it really does. These are not heavy duty, but they look good and work well. I have not seen previously the way the pull cords are designed to avoid tangling or strangling. Once installed you can still move them left or right a little. August 3, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bali changed manufacturer so quality is well below what HD offered a few years ago. I bought 2 blinds, thinking I would be getting the same quality product for the money as a previous purchase. The blinds themselves are lower quality. The end caps were difficult to fit. And there were parts missing from each accessory pack which I had to order from customer service. June 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't do it These would be great if they had a better mounting system. Unfortunately, instead of the boxed-end brackets that most blinds come with these have clips that screw into the header above your window and then snap onto the head rail of the bind. The clips are sturdy enough and so that would be fine, except that the headrail is made of such thin aluminum that it easily deforms around the clip and falls off the wall. I've literally pulled one of these things off the wall by pulling the string to raise the blinds. Don't waste your money unless you are just looking for a temporary fix in order to get your security deposit back. February 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable blinds for rentals I use these blinds in rental units because they are more durable than the vinyl product and still functions well as blinds and are more attractive than vinyl. January 29, 2013
