Perfect fit . Had to dump the brackets that came with. I needed my shades to go across the window about 3/4 the way up as I have a 6 ft high window in my kitchen that has separate windows that open out on top in my 1920's apartment. I bought a pair of metal brackets used for the higher end shades that lock over and securely holds. The color is very nice, more of a light bronze. These are definitely an upgrade from those horrid plastic numbers. I'm so glad I made this purchase. Instead of spending more money on the expensive shades, I bought these because they are stylish, practical and if I at anytime in the future I have a need to replace these, I will buy another and pop it in those brackets.

I love this product. I live in an apartment and they only furnish the cheapest plastic blinds. They tend to break and bend very easy. I decided to purchase the aluminum blinds and I am very pleased with them. They are easier to clean and are just overall much nicer.

I have installed eight of these blinds and we like the color very much. The quality of the fins are very poor, can't believe something could possibly be built so thin. They probably will bend the first time the wind blows.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AlmaMahler Terrible brackets and instructions
My husband worked for over an hour to try and install these blinds. I don't know how the brackets are expected to give the blinds any type of support. The included instructions are horrible and pointless. After reading other reviews that these blinds are not even very light filtering, I took them right back to Home Depot and we went with the generic cheap ones. The return was easy.

It must be that the good reviews are for the outside mount option. I have four of these and none will mount with inside installation without some sort of shimming so the blind has enough room to slide over the hook and lock the blind. The first set I nearly ruined and bent the main top piece trying to get it over the not thinking that whoever designed the bracket never actually tried to mount these inside a window frame. They are also crooked. Everyone of them droop on the left side. I understand they are cheap, but a big fail for the engineer!

The quality seems OK. But it takes a while to really know. The mini aluminum blinds are not as sturdy as their vinyl counterparts. They are thinner and more delicate.
Installation is fine if you understand how to do it. The instructions were helpful but my neighbor was more helpful in explaining the missing steps. (for example, how to get the blind into the bracket once the bracket is installed. The instructions just say "install the blind into the bracket.")
What I like most is how much light they block. I get a lot of sun during the day in my kitchen and living room. Each have two large windows. The blinds helped reduce the heat from sun exposure by close to 10 degrees by the time I get home from work, making it much more comfortable. Of course if you use the wand to tilt them in a different direction, plenty of light can be let in.
The champagne color looks better than I thought it would. I have white walls. Its a bit of a dark gold-ish tan than anything resembling champagne.
